I lived on midway for 4 yrs. My dad a naval officer stationed here. The first morning after moving here I went outside and was amazed the loudness of the Cooney birds and fairy. People living here back then was 1200 servicemen and their families. Attended school at george cannon. Only animals allowed on the island are dogs. No cats because the terns and albatross. Anyone that lives there please correspond with me
There is a movie, kind of a documentation about albatrosses. A beautiful movie that takes the time to portait the the lifes of these birds and our impact (plastic pollution) in an insistent way that touched me more than any other documentation i watched about all the bad things happening.
I really encourage everyone to see it. You can watch it free on their website, just search for 'albatross the film'.
I've seen wings of the albatross its really good
Albatrosses bring bad luck, if you kill them, so don't kill them, and they will bring good luck... wish I was an albatross
