No they don't. Nowadays we have Carrie Underwood.
forever beautiful. Bless you always Julie.
How wonderful, i didn't know she won for Mary Poppins, one of my favourite films of all time. It was so heart warming seeing Dick Van Dyke cheer her on and the fact they are both still alive makes this clip even more powerful, given it's almost 60 years old.
Julie Andrews really nailed her performance and really deserved her Oscar!
Sidney Poitier lights up completely announcing her as the winner. He is dashing and Julie Andrews simply beautiful, classy, elegant and just radiates warmness and happiness
Julie Andrews has redefined what it s to be a STAR! She truly inspires! Incredibly talented, gorgeous & so humble! She's simply enchanting & perfect!
I'm glad she got it. She's always been such a star. Literally made my early childhood with this film. Forever Mary Poppins. 💛
I honestly started crying before the 0:05 mark. She is my idol and I love her so much! Julie Andrews has always been like a grandma to me. I'm not even kidding, but my heart would stop if she ever even said "hi" to me.
If you ever meet her, just treat her like anyone else. Don't gush. They avoid gushers :)
I've met several. Steves Perry and Smith. Sylvester Stallone...
She is a true class act. She was so deserving of that award. Being shut out for my fair lady was very unfair but I think she came out on top anyway.
I just watched My Fair Lady for the first time last night on TCM. That movie was wonderful but Mary Poppins was even better.
She is stunning in every regard. "Good Lord, she's gorgeous". Like so few before her, her ravishing beauty is in her humility. It was reflected in her acting.
Just watch her over and over again. Strength in her humility
Thank you Diane Sawyer. You too are a class act.
+Warren Pugh And her singing
Julie Andrews is timeless in every way! Divine & incredibly gifted!
Look at the Actors and Actresses then and now. Almost makes one want to cry.
I've always thought that Julie Andrews is one of the most beautiful voices, one of the most beautiful faces, and one of the most beautiful humans. I'm glad to see that so many people do also.
She tied with the songs are the #1 reason I make it a semi holiday viewing tradition to watch the Sound of Music. It may not be on Mary Poppins level. But a millennial like me has to have respect for art that has stood the test of time.
She is and always has been so lovely. :)
This woman just exudes class and elegance, she did in her 20s and she does in her 80s, they really don't make them like they used to.
She really looks like a Disney princess :3 so beauty...
+Daniela Lima She sure does
Well deserved!! Julie Andrews should have won it for "The Sound of Music" as well.
True but overall as a movie I prefer Mary Poppins over the Sound of Music
Yeah, but it was at least 40 minutes too long.
