Have you considered a few more components to make it more reasonable to hang on to a favorite one? With each part being 1/4 of the stats it feels bad to get attached to one of them for its particular behavior. And of course roguelike players thirst for synergies.

Should also have certain upgrade combos that form something like a legendary gun which adds special effects and a unique aesthetic to the gun

The fact that each gun can only be 4 parts, and you are replacing them not upgrading them makes it feel as if you just have a different weapon each wave, instead of getting stronger.

Yeah kinda seems weak. Would have been cool to get the parts into an inventory to change at waves or if you get the same part twice it upgrades etc

an amazing concept that I would love to see with just a few more unique tweaks but i love it!

The upgrade colours are the exact opposite of what they should be: grey should be traits that stay, and red should be traits that go away, not the other way around.
Although at the moment I'm not really sold on this game, but I'll see where it goes.

I was so hyped by the concept of this... then actually, it's not really "build your own gun", it's more "hopefully get an upgrade you're forced to take that doesn't strip out the fun parts of your gun".
Kinda feels like Mothergunship crossed with Neophyte, but.... worse than either of them?

You're not forced to take the upgrade, it gives you the Option to instead take 10 gold, and you can reforge (reroll) each upgrade twice

That frame drop happens when godot compiles a shader, the developer should instantiate all the vfx at load time and kill them behind the scene

This game looks pretty great. From a quality of life standpoint though, games where currency disappears after half a second are so annoying.

does this game have controller support?i have some constraints that make using both mouse and keyboard difficult. but using only one or a controller is much easier and comfortable.
