I wanted to share this.about a half hour ago i was leaving a store on my bike and saw a couple attempting to load a scooter into the back of a pickup.the girl was in the bed and it wasnt going to happen.i rolled up and asked can i help? Dropped my bike and we got it up there.they thanked me.and i said "no problem.i was a boy scout" just a lighthearted reply.as i rode away it made me smile.do a good deed every day they used say back in 1975.troop 488 in Philadelphia.R.I.P baden
I had a great Scouthood and have lived a scouting life ever since. Always practice your scoutcraft and bushcraft and be a brother to every other scout.
Scouts not only saved my life, but saved several lives to include on deployment for Operation Southern Watch. Forever grateful for everything I learned as to this day I am still using the lessons. As well, my eldest son was a scout and my youngest is about to start his path. Scouts to golden shellback combat veteran, thank you to all the mentors that kept and keep the packs going.
On my honor i will do my best to do my duty to god and my country, to obey the scout law, to help other people at all times and to keep myself strong mentally awake and morally straight

Hitler fashioned the Hitler Youth after the Boy Scouts. Every boy needs to be put through this formative molding. At least this awesome organisation was a bit of the good that came out of the Anglo-Boer War! What a man this Baden Powell was! A true Englishman.

Boy scouts is like training in the army camping,doing drills,helping each other and more I’m a Boy Scout myself my father and brother was a Boy Scout but they only reached the Boy Scout rank not the Eagle Scout rank god bless and may every Boy Scout be brave and strong and always ready for anything and the best part of my Cub Scout years where we got our knife pocket knifes my friend was like holy shit we get pocket knifes just for being a Scout he’s like oh man I want my son to be a Boy Scout too
I treasure my scouting days. I was not in Cub Scout went straight into Boy Scouts. I later became a denture for some cubs. I had great ideas for my troop. I want us to make our own uniforms more like the scouts in the movement Westward in America. Not so much the military look. That's the part I did not like the military slant. Scouts were used for a lot of things besides war. In those days if you wore, the cap and the chief you were considered in uniform. I advocated heavy Muslim made with fringe everybody make their own, and we would attach our badges to those. However, Boy Scouts would not allow it even though it was not against the rules. In recent times the stories around scouting has painted a wonderful organization. I 80 years old and I'm still a Boy Scout. Not a scouting for boys.
