I've been working on my family's genealogy for about 10 years. I've helped multiple adopted DNA relatives figure out who their birth parents were. Genealogy is a great hobby! It's great to to learn about your family. I'm from Ireland - my ancestry results are 97% Ireland, 3% Sweden/Denmark. I also did MyHeritage and got in contact with a 2nd cousin in England who sent me a bunch of family photos. My grandparents lost all their photos in a house fire, so I had no photos on that side of my family. Keep up the good content Maven!
My mom absolutely loved Genealogy and did it pretty hardcore for about 20 years. She introduced soooo many family members to each other it’s crazy. But the craziest part was, she was adopted by a random person from an orphanage as a baby. And she did the genealogy for her adopted family not her real family. Lol. She said she didn’t care to learn about a family who left her. So I really know NOTHING about myself(also don’t know my father.) But YES Genealogy is a wildly interesting thing. ☺️
