Kratos didn’t wanna kill ares for revenge like you stated in the beginning of the video, he actually was just doing what athena and the other gods commanded him to and the only reason he did it was because he was falsely promised to make the nightmares of his family stop

When Kratos told Odin "Return my son, or you may meet the god I once was" kinda was hoping he'd tap into the rage like Thors fight. Kratos is def. my fav game character

Lore wise from this series Kratos would win a good amount of the time but odin could win based off suprise or deseption. The thing that made odin lose in my opinion was his obsession with that damm mask and not focusing enough on dealing with kratos and the battle ahead of him-not soley on avoiding it

Same way he can suddenly regenerate himself in these new games. He had godly powers all along, just laying dormant and he never tapped into them.

The only ones that can beat him are Odin, Thor, and Maybe Baldur in norse Mythology and probably only heavy hitters in the greek pantheon could beat him like Zues, Posiedon, and Hades. Heimdal may be an asshole but that shouldn't stop you from seeing how strong he truly was.

Heimdall is physically weak by God standards. He's only considered powerful by the Norse Gods because of his telepathy which the Sisters of Fate already had in droves as confirmed in 2's novel.

Dang, this really put his capabilities into perspective. I’ve never seen all or at least most of his feats put into one video like this before. Well I already knew everything that he’s done but never really put it all together. I now understand why so many people think he can defeat anyone.
He can't defeat anyone, because he has limits and there are characters with better feats, but he's still a beast.

Really enjoyed this one. I’m a huge Kratos fan since I’ve played at least all of the baseline games and enjoyed the story and bossfights. I still don’t think he can beat goku though and I’ve even debated it with my friends who think Kratos automatically wins.
Maybe one day though, Kratos V.S. Doomslayer could be a close battle…

He wasnt even raging or anything serious and some norse myth fans saying Odin and Thor could solo Kratos based on what literally happend in the game. What literally happend in the game was Kratos holding back not Odin who could delete GOW Verse by reading his spell books😭

To be clear i doubt kratos could ever be counted as just a mortal even before killing Ares. In certain ancient texts there are references to nephilim. These are hybrid sons of fallen angels. Now since god of war is based in greek mythology im not sure what the equivalent of that would even be or if it even exists in greek mythology at all. Being half god has to come with physiological benefits that put you well above being "just a mortal". Deimos his brother also seemed to be somewhat super powered as well, even after being left to rot in thanatos's realm for however long. For lack of a better term he was superhuman from the very start.

It's also important to mention that mortals in the god of war universe are still somewhat superhuman. So Kratos as a mortal defeating a god is still valid despite having a blood of a god.
In the novels, the gods are much more stronger than what is being shown in the games. Kratos as a mortal also fought a fallen concept in his quest to find ambrosia.
The story of god of war perfectly fleshed out the idea of a man becoming god. His struggle was realistic and the treasures that made him stronger are well deserved. That's why every time he acquires a weapon or magic after a challenge or fight, it feels satisfying.

I don't think Kratos is as strong or fast as stated in this video. I'm not denying that he has superhuman abilities I'm saying they're not multiversal. If his strength was as great as you say it is he would have been able to get through the ice in God of war 2018 without the falling hammer. If he was as fast as you say he is when Loki was with Boulder in the Realm Travel Room Kratos would've run across the Realm Travel Bridge instantly instead of the long sequence we got. These are both canonical events that happened in cut scenes so you can't even blame it on gameplay like you can with the loot chests.
Both the gameplay and the cutscenes are limited in scale. Yes at face-value he's only like continent level but with proof he is easily multiversal

I was thinking, if Kratos showed us his full potential, where would he be on a scale? I guess Kratos, who reached 1C with Poh, could reach 1A with his full potential. The information we have is limited but considering that kratos can easily defeat even powerful enemies (killing zeus by punching him, using the sun god's head as a flashlight :D, withstanding the force of the atlas without difficulty, etc.) it is not impossible.
