  • Hi Everyone
I'm really excited to share this first tuna trip of the season. It was a fun day chasing Albacore tuna. In this video I also included a breakdown of our line trolling pattern. Please leave comments and suggestions.
Hope you enjoy the video. Tight Lines!

We typically run stern and outrigger (8ft wood poles) meatlines along with 15ft outriggers with regular rods/reels. Any craft store carries jingle bells and we have 2 on each meatline. They rust out so change them each season. GL

Thanks for suggestion. I was thinking about trying the bell thing but wasn't sure if they would ring just from the boat moving. I'll try it out. Thanks for watching. Tight lines!

What about a rubber band for your bungee that breaks and indicates a bite/fish on?

It's a good idea. I'll give it a shot on the next trip.
We just got back from a tuna run and I tried hanging bells on the line, that didn't work :)
      Thanks for watching. Tight lines!

That port corner remains the hot rod...What's your trolling speed? My spread is closer- I'm trying to get them into live bait range,

Between 6 1/2 and 9 MPH. The hot rod lately has actually been the shotgun rod at 150' out. Thanks for watching.
