    From traveling randomly down the west coast I'll never forget Mazatlan. A place that stood out as a very beautiful and laid back city with lots of food options in the markets. I was invited to see some kind of dance performance. It was very strange, the style. Like a dramatic symbolic thing going on but still I thought it was cool to be invited off the street like that.

    • @MaddieTravel
      @MaddieTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Thanks for watching! To answer your question, we have only had food poisoning once in Mexico and that was at a fancy restaurant. We have never had an issue with street food. We do recommend staying away from buffet style restaurants, dishes that contain milk, and drinks with ice. We always look at restaurants with good reviews and eat a street food stalls that the locals eat at. Typically if there are a lot locals eating at a restaurant or street food vendor then it’s safe. Also, wash your hands regularly to avoid cross contamination.

    Hey guys how /what was the process to return back to the US with the covid rules or whatever? Like the test etc

    • @MaddieTravel
      @MaddieTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just have to get an antigen test within 48 hrs of departure. You can get the test at the airport, some hotels offer them, or there’s locations around town that do them. Depending on where you get it, the price is usually around $20 USD. We recommend not getting it at the airport, because we know a lot of people who have missed their flights cause the lines are so long. Some do a quick nasal swab, others just do a mouth swab. Then wear your mask at the airport and that’s it. Super easy!! Hopefully this was helpful, thank you for subscribing :)

    That is disturbing about people dropping off cats...do they not like cats there? Are there any cats in town that people have for pets that you noticed or do they seem to think cats are a nuisance? My husband and I have three cats🥰 and we feed about four raccoons in our back yard every night, so if we go there somebody's getting fed lol!

    • @MaddieTravel
      @MaddieTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly I’m not sure about people having cats as pets. There were a bunch of water and food bowls on the hike and it was apparent that people bring food to the cats, so that was really nice to see. We never noticed anyone treating the cats poorly in town. That’s so awesome ha 🥰

      Try surfing at Playa Brujas, there's also a waterpark over by there if you're interested. Pat enjoyed going to some of the casinos near the golden zone. If you like sushi, make sure you go to Piranha Killer Sushi it's right at the beginning of the malecón at the golden zone end. There's great cheap spas and shopping. Rent bikes and ride along the Malecón, and check out the market in old town, near the cathedral. Other than these I don't have anything else I can think of ha. Hope this helps :)

    way too much hot dog talk. FYI, "Beyond meat" sausage dogs are the best in the world and also vegan; which means no cute little piggies get hung and slaughtered.
