I was confused between these two bikes
1. Watched all video of ktm and v storm
2. Thanks for a details video, at this point you have only video comparing these two machines.
3. Thanks comment section for giving some inputs and information.
4. According to my requirement of 70% city 30% tour (highway), milega and reliability and refinement.

I picked Suzuki v storm 250(yellow) .
Got delivered today.
Did 42 km all good so far.
My fav point, at higher gear low rpm no need to change gear manages easily...
Edit: done 2800km , milege 41(on console), mile muncher on high ways. No issue at 100-110kmph. Not that tough to handle in banglore traffic aswell. Road presence 🔥
Edit: 6000km everything is good, except the handlebar , the most common issue of the bike is handlebar allignment goes off either left pull or right pull or wobbling. Hope service centre fixes the issue. Lot of v-storm owners already have this issue. It's manageable as of now because right tilt is very very slight.
Edit: handlebar Issue is resolve. Done 7500km now will be going for 3rd service. I did a 1300km Bangalore -> munnar-> ooty-> bangalore, with a pillion of 60kg and luggage of 17kg on the luggage rack only. The bike performed really well with all that weight it felt more stable easily cruised at 90 and in expressway 90-120. And i also did very stiff mountain roads with all that load in the back , except some of very stiff hilly roads it performed well without any issue. Dont expect tourque like himalayan but it has enough low end touque to handle extra weight.

@@shivendugupta2382 bike is still in breakin period. But still the engine is absolutely smooth as butter ❤️ you will connect with the bike easily. Happy cruising at 85-100 kmph 6th gear 5500-6000 rpm (I keep the bike under 6k rpm as first service is pending)
Major point is you dont have to change gear regularly in city ride with higher gear and low rpm it can easily run without stalling which other bikes can't (tried Duke, dominar, pulsar, Tvs 200).
Fuel efficiency 34kmpl mostly city ride and i rev the bike often.
One person in the vstorm SX owner group had posted 45kmpl milega so I'm not sure how he rides 😂 but this bike can easily give 35+
@@saswatsenapati7870 Great explanation, I was asking exatly the same that we take these types of bike for rev hard sometimes and cruise on high speed so in this situation bike gives 35+ its good anyways after 2-3 services bike will give 40+ easily

Will there be any problem while riding V-storm ?
My choice is the V-Strom thats because of Suzuki's long lasting quality. I still dont feel like selling my first gen Gixxer because of the fun and reliability
Well Suzuki is not an adv nor an offroader. Just slap some kit and call it something that does not make the cut
@@retipserjayzoom agreed that it may not be an adv or offroader. But there are people who have taken Gixxers to the toughest terrains even in Ladakh so it won't be much of a deal for the v-strom. Suzuki has better reliability than KTM.

@@avim4896 that is beside the point. Just because a scooty went all the way to the Himalayas doesn't mean it is an adventure bike. It is naive to not think of it as a marketing tool. This is why we never get to see better ones "venturing " like on the global platform. Why ,because the people are being sucked into this idiosyncrasy and manipulation. Enjoy your ride. Now don't tell me we don't have good roads ,if we dont then it makes a better case for a well rounded bike not some slipshod bike . We got to dictate standards just like any developed country. Else we will be stuck in this rut for ever and be second world or third world forever

@@Anant0909 hi Anant the mileage is anywhere between 30-40 depending on your riding style.
If you enjoy a little thrill then you will be getting around 32 kmpl mileage.

I bought Vstorm sx 250 and i bet you whoever ride this machine you will love this engine!! Such smoothness and tractability, Adequate package of power it have!!!!.. fantastic initial acceleration...
The cockpit view (riders view) of v-storm is much big and good looking.
But it was very easy to ride!!!!!

I am gng for suzuki reliability and smoothness + comfort.
I've took strom for highways, its damn smooth refinement, i cruise around 90-100
V storm in yellow colour has killer looks
If you unlock RPM in Suzuki, you'll loose the top end maximum upto 135 kms/ h, but the low end throttle response will be higher. You can do it easily in your display console. 😁 I've SF 250, experienced over 13000 kms so that I know it.

I will buy the VStrom 250 SX if Suzuki increase the suspension travel, increase the tank capacity to 15 litres, slightly taller handlebars with a revised peg position for ease of riding when standing up on the pegs, also give switchtable ABS, a bit more low end torque and a stronger light.

The Suzuki's fit, finish and overall build quality is slightly better than the KTM 250.

What should be the height for comfortable ride?
VStrom, next version when foot pegs are center set, longer suspension travel, better diaplay consol, taller, wider handlebar, led indicators and its own headlight, breaklights without reminding us of Gixxxer. Otherwise i think KTM is better but just top end rush alone will not do for a tourer.
People commenting here without knowing about ktm 250 cc engine.
1. Engine refinement: They don't know that 250 is smoothest engine of entire ktm product line. If v Strom can score 9 out of 10 then definitely adv 250 can score 8.5 or even 9.
2. Reliability: No doubt Suzuki is known for reliable engines but I have never heard of ktm 250 not being reliable.
3. Maintenance: ktm parts are a bit costlier because they are better quality.
4. Service cost: I don't think service cost is more for ktm 250 than v Strom.
Price difference is only 20k. And what you get additional and nobody wants to talk is:
1. More power: Buttery smooth ktm 30 PS vs buttery smooth Suzuki 26.5 PS.
2. Suspension: You will feel the difference between the 2 bikes when you ride over bad patches. The WP appex suspension with long travel makes sure the adv 250 glides over any bad road. Whereas v Strom has just ordinary Street bike suspension. It should not be even called and adventure bike with such suspension.
3. Switchable ABS: You get option to switch off rare abs in adv 250 to perform off-road.
4. Liquid cooled vs oil cooled
5. Instrument cluster: Adv 250 offers better looking dashboard.
6. Saddling: saddling is not possible in v Strom whereas adv 250 provides comfortable standing saddling.
All these features will help you in long tour and not city ride. So comment considering long distance touring. Do not underestimate adv 250 without knowing it. It is getting less response because of 390 adv.
Ktm Adv 250 got traction control as well

Which one's better for hill stations? For Steep climbs and bends (not off roading) (70% for city riding & 30% for going to hill stations)
Both are good. But I find Suzuki to be more comfortable

At what rpm Vstrom goes to 100kmph on 6th gear ? Can VStrom manage 90-100 kmph in long rides easily?
yes ofcourse
at 5500 rpm which means you'll be at perfect torque range to overtake vehicles easily without any vibrations
Both can go 150 kmph plus buddy.. But sweet spot is 100-120..
Maintaining Vstrom is relatively economical.. I'm a Ktm fan and my head is turning towards Vstrom. Will wait for 1 year ownership reviews and decide 😜
6750 rpm is 100 kmph on the speedo for gixxer 250. There is error in speedo but 90-100 kmph doable all day.

I am 5ft7in and i was able to ride the bike with ease. both feet were tiptoeing a bit but if you shift one leg to the peg and 1 on the ground the its easy

I would have picked the vstrom but Bangalore taxes make it 2.75L on road which is really expensive and not value for money.
