Hojlund over cunha would be a shout everyone is mentioning fernades but in a Ruben system a striker is the focal and he can be a goal scorer im considering bringing him in for haaland or watkins
Sometimes i can’t stand sim’s takes, he doesn’t usually support his arguments well in comparison. Dan i agree with everything you say and this isn’t bias, you spit pure facts
@ no offence btw man, you’re funny and a lovely bloke, just some opinions i disagree with entirely. Thanks for correcting me on your name, won’t get it wrong again 👍🏼
Going into 12 sold haaland for jackson , Pedro and Saka (rogers on the bench for now depending on injury saka) Martinez, Aina, Konate, Nouri Saka, Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo Jackson, Cunha, Pedro pedro was on track to have better stats then welbeck before injury
I pointed out on your other stream that Palmer does return in big games but you ignored that part of the comment and focused on the fact that he is great in small games (which i never questioned). If you count big games as playing on of the big 6 then each of the premium fpl guys plays 5 of them (as they are owned by the 6th) This is how the attacking returns were for each of the top 4 fpl picks against these clubs in the 23/24 season (the only season there has been all 4 playing). Also what these returns are worth in fpl points: Haaland: Goals 8, Assists 2 fpl points 38 Saka: Goals 3, Assists 3, fpl points 24 Salah: Goals 3, Assist 3, fpl points 24 Palmer: Goals 7, Assists 1, fpl points 38 So if yiou rank by amount of returns it is 1st Haaland, 2nd Palmer, 3rd Salah/Saka If you rank by fpl points from these returns: 1st Haaland/Palmer 3rd Saka/Salah You said that he is young and in time he will improve as a big game player, yet on his first ever season he out perforemd Saka and Salah in big games. Please can you explain why you think he is so bad in big games compared to the others even tho he got a lot more returns and fpl points than the other mids in thses fixtures last season
Spurs and Man Utd aren’t big teams in 2024, particularly last season when both were bottom half defences. Take away those teams and you will see very different results, particularly when also factoring in penalties vs open play.
@@StickToFPL So it is judged on strength of defence rather than classic big teams? If so Everton were joint 2nd for clean sheets last season and he put 4 goals past them. Or are you only including top 3 clubs? If so last season Palmer got 2 goals in these fixtures. Salah 1 goal 1 assist, Saka and Haaland each got one goal. That also means you are only looking at up to 6 fixtures out of 38 which are the problem. Would you say Salah or Haaland are a good pick when facing Arsenal? I certainly wouldn't want to captain them on those games but also wouldn't waste a transfer removing them for it either, I wouldn't treat Palmer any different in that respect. I think its less about Palmer being a bad pick against these teams and more that most players are a bad pick facing the top 3 teams. Apart from maybe Joao Pedro who has almost all of his attacking returns against strong teams (Mitoma the exact oposite), or Son but then playing Arsenal is diffrerent for Spurs than any of the other teams.
It’s always been about the strength of the defence. All I’ve ever said is that Palmer consistently struggles to get open play goals and assists against the toughest teams, and have provided a lot of evidence towards that in these pods. If you still disagree, fine. If you have some other point to make, fine. We are all entitled to an opinion. I’m honestly bored of this discussion now, all I seem to be doing is replying with things I’ve already said in these pods a million times. I have nothing new to add!
@@StickToFPL Ok, well thanks for taking the time to reply. At the end of the day i don't think it matters much anyway, many managers will be owning 3 premium players. If Palmer is facing a strong defence and one of the other premiums has a nice fixture then most people will go with the good fixture for captaincy, but the same is true the other way around too. Its not like you will drop your top players if they are facing a tough fiuxture or two and unless the other 7 attackers are all looking great you probs won't bench them either. Unless he gets injured i doubt Palmer will leave my team anytime soon, there will be weeks that i captain him and mostly against the weakest defences, and when i don't he will be in my starting line up anyway. Will probs cap him next week rather than Salah as either could do well but i would prefer to see Palmer haul and if i get it right it will be a lot better for my rank than going with Salah. Spent too long captaining Haaland last season and watching players i prefered on a week outscore him, annoys me much less to go with my gut and my captain blanks. End of the day we play for fun and I think its more enjoyable going against the crowd when you can rather than just playing it safe all season .
The reason jackson was 10th on that list is due to the yellow cards making it likely to miss one of the games. Without that he would prob be in the top 3 expected points (and due to benches, the benching ban obviously isnt a 0 pointer)
Why i will still choose haaland over saka is saka is consistent can get 5,5,6,7,6,5 and haaland can blank 2,2,2 bh haul 17,15,14 that's why I prefer haaland to saka ...saka barely haul
My favourite FPL podcast, nice host dynamic, nice everything ❤
Thank you so much!
Dan: 'If you dont have Salah in your team, what are you doing at this point'
Bro literally hasn't owned salah all season
💀
Reece James is a crazy pick after the benching last week. So many better options for cheaper
Love these podcasts, keep it it up lads 💯 ❤️
Love the vibes
Hojlund over cunha would be a shout everyone is mentioning fernades but in a Ruben system a striker is the focal and he can be a goal scorer im considering bringing him in for haaland or watkins
Wissa most under rated fpl player this season
Can’t believe you didn’t go over differential of the week. Cim with another 2 pointer 😂
This isn’t the main podcast episode for GW12
Jackson cooking in gw12
I sure hope so brother
Reece James debut season with Chelsea was in 19/20 with Lampard. He was never there with Conte Dan
love this pod!
Join me with the Palmer captaincy.

JAMES????? IS HE HAVING A LAUGH 😂 PAIN INCOMING 😅
I came expecting the anti-wildcard team to decide whether I need a WC or not, so a slight disappointment there.
Beside that, amazing episode as always
Going into 12 sold haaland for jackson , Pedro and Saka (rogers on the bench for now depending on injury saka)
Martinez, Aina, Konate, Nouri
Saka, Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo
Jackson, Cunha, Pedro

Cheers for the early WC, lots of bargain ideas
Dans draft is better but id go 4 premiums. Squeeze the big boi in up top

Haaland: Goals 8, Assists 2 fpl points 38

Salah: Goals 3, Assist 3, fpl points 24
Palmer: Goals 7, Assists 1, fpl points 38
So if yiou rank by amount of returns it is
1st Haaland,
2nd Palmer,
3rd Salah/Saka
If you rank by fpl points from these returns:
1st Haaland/Palmer
3rd Saka/Salah
You said that he is young and in time he will improve as a big game player, yet on his first ever season he out perforemd Saka and Salah in big games.

I’m ranked 21k thinking about my first -4 of the season. Solanke to Isak and Trent to Gabriel. Thoughts?
Sure, go for it!

You could do Becker in goal and Colwill for Konate (if Becker fit)
I've got 5 75% injuries on my team. Colwill Ramsdale Saka Palmer Foden 3 premiums as well. Does anyone know how serious they are
Where's the differential of the week?
Init
That’s why I watch this show
This isn’t the main episode of the show, it’s a bonus episode. Main GW12 episode next Tuesday
@@StickToFPL ok
Was Cim deliberately arguing against Pedro or did he genuinely think Welbeck was “more important”?!?!

Differential
I'm £0.1m off my perfect wildcard team right now, just need Dunk to drop and I can make it work
🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Everton play liv, arsenal, chelsea city in a row in a few weeks. Do not buy their defenders
I think people would only buy Everton defenders as rotation options tbf. He rotates quite well with RAN
There’s no differential in the first team. It’s like every other wild card
Which one?
@@StickToFPLwhere’s the differential
❤
Would you sell Jackson for Isak?
No I wouldn’t
Why would a manager bench their best player this season? Welbeck will not be benched.
Because he will be 34 this month, and Brighton have no shortage of forward options. The occasional benching is understandable
Reeve James? Wasting my time here listening
Facts bruh
First.
Dude you are so cool 🤙
Differential of the week 😢
This is not the main podcast episode! Differential of the week will be next Tuesday :)
