Personally 6 is gm_genesis because it’s both extremely weird as is the nature of gmod maps but also got a lot of stuff, like a hidden racing track bellow the map and 7 is gm_highway14800 because it’s kinda just a better flatgrass in a lot of aspects
I have memories of playing most of these maps with close people I will never speak to again. you probably do to that mix of nostalgia and sadness is really something.
If your talking about the ghost numbers it’s just resizing with key frames and if your talking about the blue subtitles at the bottom it’s just White with a light blue outline and maybe a glow and shadow behind it you can use it in cap cut
I think Fishke is on another level when it comes to mapping and rp_NYCity is his magnum opus. The level of detail, the interactivity, the atmosphere, everything is so good!
It’s bizarre how perfect gm_construct is. The workshop is full of amazing sandbox centered maps, but rarely get to the level of construct (gm_trainconstruct2 is the only I can think of)

Maybe you should try different variations of this best gmod maps list since we kinda all know these ones, it would be nice to see some New maps on here.
The most iconic Garry's Mod maps all have a lonely, empty feel to them. Garry's Mod is inherently a creepy game, as has been explored many times before. These maps are great to play with friends, but when you load them in single player... it has a darker feel
Good list overall, however I believe rp_NYCity deserves at least an honorable mention, if not a spot on the list. The map is huge, it's a faithful recreation to Y2K New York and it's vastly interactive. I've yet to see a map where you can interact with as many buildings, objects, etc. as rp_NYCity.
I have probably spent at least 200 hours of my life fucking around in 7/11 and have no clue why. It is the most random map ever and it's pretty small yet I love doing random shit in it. A good chunk of those hours were spent on the black mesa expiremental entities mods.

Gm_Obelisk is definitely a favorite due to it perfectly mimicking the classic gmod sandbox map feel

I haven''t played Gmod in like 15 years. I only recognized 1, 2, and 3. Great memories. I feel very nostalgic.
Construct was my very first Garry’s mod experience best times I’ve ever have and will remember.

GM Mobenix V3. Absolute classic that's huge and has great spaces for constructing, roleplay, or pretty much any gamemode.

you should try the modern warfare weapons addon. not exactly fallout faithful but their animations make gm_atomic so much better than it already was
