- With an estimated 269,000 tons floating around, plastic pollution in our oceans is one of the most pressing environmental concerns of today. In episode 22 of Borneo From Below, Bertie aims to investigate the impact that plastic is having on our underwater world, and hears about a pilot whale that washed up with 4kgs of trash in its stomach.

Excellent episode you guys! I could only shake my head at the size of the Pacific gyre. Here in South Korea they individually wrap bananas in plastic and if you buy a plastic package of cookies, they come in a plastic tray individually each cookie is wrapped in plastic!
