Frankly, it's kind of amazing that it's taken this long for there to be an animated film set in a theme park. It seems like a really natural sort of thing.

Admittedly, I'm not sure what this movie is about, but I'm already curious to see it because of the fact that it seems radically different from what we're used to seeing when it comes to animation that is geared towards kids.
At best I can say that it's a movie about a theme park? I mean, that's different and surprisingly refreshing compared to the other kid-centric animation films out there.
ZRovas117 how is it any different? It looks exactly like every other animated film for kids (excluding disney) talking animals, lame character design and a generic story about saving a fantasy worls from evil. Wooow.

agree with all your points, and granted the animation is well done, but it's not the most amazing animation I've ever seen. Wish they would venture into something more deeper for kids and less "good versus evil" type movies at the very least.

The place in the film is called 'Wonder Land' but the film is called 'Wonder Park'. This doesn't make sense.

Trailer doesn't really offer a whole lot, we don't really know what the film is suppose to be about or who these characters are, but the animation looks nice.
It's a _teaser_ trailer -- it's designed to tickle our curiosity. The actual trailer is not out yet.
This is why Paramount needs to run theme parks again.

Looks like a lot of thought and effort was put into this movie. Almost like Pixar quality. The trailer seems to keep emphasizing the magic and wonder of this theme park and has more action over comedy and doesn't give away too much of the plot.
If you compare this plus Incredibles 2 to a movie like Hotel Transylvania 3, you can really see a clear difference in the amount of care put in.
Overall, I'm definitely excited to see this :)
I'm positive this movie has potential
Okay, so for anyone wondering, this is a Paramount Animation film. It’s a relatively young studio that sorta-but-not-really started with Rango (2011), which was a high quality, successful film. After that, Paramount created a separate studio for animated films, and they seem to also specialize in hybrid live-action/animation films fairly often. Since Rango, they’ve made The Sponge-Bob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015), which was actually pretty good, but then followed that with the hybrid film Monster Trucks (2017), which flopped hard. I suspect that might have been because its target demographic was confusing. After that they made Sherlock Gnomes (2018), which wasn’t that great and didn’t fare well in the box office.
However, oddly enough I have really high hopes for this studio. I feel like all three of their movies so far have been stupid ideas that they executed as well as they could, with the possible exception of the SpongeBob sequel which was pretty quality overall actually. Anyway, their next three films are this one- Wonder Park, which will be out March 2019, a hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog adaptation in November 2019, and a third SpongeBob movie in July 2020. None of those three feel particularly out of place, and like I said, I feel like when given an interesting premise this studio can execute it wonderfully and with a lot of unique charm, they just haven’t really even had a chance yet. I get the feeling Wonder Park will be a pretty good movie that’ll make people realize what this group can do. While I’m hesitant to assume that a Sonic movie will be good, I actually think this might be the perfect group to do it, so it works.
TL;DR
The studio that made this is pretty new and this is the first fully animated film they’ve made from an original idea. Based on what they’ve done right in the past and the premise of this (not to mention this refreshingly bare trailer) this movie in particular is going to be good.
I must paste this again for the people who are wondering. Can I?

When I think of a Nickelodeon movie, I think of something that’s mostly jokes, crazy parties or kids doing crazy shit. Not something that wonderment and magical and majestic like a Pixar film.

The original director was fired at the start of this year for "inappropriate and unwanted conduct" - it was already nearly done, dunno how much influence David Feiss will have on it at this point. Even the name was changed.

I gotta say, I'm very stunned and impressed completely by this trailer, I really am, specially from an animated movie that I would always look on Wikipedia and noticed how much it was getting delayed, and delayed, because this movie has been in production since 2014, and they were intending in releasing it more earlier that this particular date, but considering the new title, as well as the change of director, I have to admit that the waiting was really worth it, and like I said again, I'm impressed because this looks beautiful, and it makes me so happy that an animation studio from another country helped on making the movie, which that sounds exciting as well, I'll be looking forward to see more trailers, but for now, my attention is on point
