    I want to thank lecrae because before the only hip hop i listened to was secular and not spiritually healthy. When i heard this album i literally deleted every song on my itunes and replaced it with music that honours God.

      The same here bro. I used to feed my brain with Eminem, Lil wayne, Drake and songs from guys like dat. Once I knew about the Illuminati and Eminem being a part of it, it was a bit hard at first, but I had to repent. Hillsong United, Toby Mac, Chris Tomlin and Lecrae are some of my favorite artists right now. I thank God for turning my attention towards a whole new idea of relaxation and happiness!

      Jude I. J. You need to get out and stop believing everything on the internet. And put that bible down and realize there are no miracles, No god. When you die you die lights out. Your all decaying organisms that came from millions of years of evolution. Good luck with life. Lecrae is pretty sick though. Just had to comment on this.

      if you think death is the Omega(the end)...then death has to be the Alpha(the beggining) also? well, all with truth know that life is the Alpha and the Omega. after death is life. and that is the return of Christ, when the world waited for death...the christians waited for life. peace out.

      Carson Rutzer and maybe you need to stop being so.judgemental, if some does not believe the same thing you do all well. You have no righy to tell someone what they believe in is wrong.

      freedom of speech bud. Religious people always act so defensive. Just lean on the idea that i will go to hell and you will go to heaven. I'm sure that helps you when people criticize something that isn't real. Drunken prophets just want to mold you. That is every religion not just yours. Cheers.

    I don't understand how some people say "If I were religious I would buy his music"... Most of us aren't "gangsters" or "rolling in dough" or "drive luxury cars", yet we still listen, buy and rave about albums that promote that lifestyle... How can we contradict ourselves like that?? It's crazy!

    • @Starr2897

      Excellent point. I suspect some think buying JESUS music will cause them to feel bad about themselves - scared the Holy Ghost is gonna jump on them and they'll end up saved - which means they can't have "fun" no more. lol Sad but true. Ignorance is a loaded gun and its aimed at you - don't take that bullet - just buy the music and enjoy! Have a super blessed day :))

      How did u became a Christian like tell what u believed in and how it change you?
      I like to hear testimonies.

    I do not believe that he is a "Christian Rapper" but a rapper who is a Christian and is not afraid of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He, as all Christians, wants you to hear the Message in the way that you will understand. The Holy Spirit gives us our understanding but in order for you to receive the Holy Spirit, you must hear the Message, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and trust and believe that He will save you. LeCrae gives you God's message in rap, in addition to not tearing others or himself down. Listen to it for what it is - a rapper who is Christian and does not want you to perish but to have everlasting life with God, thru Jesus Christ. LeCrae is not perfect, he is merely a man, expressing himself through rap! Enjoy!

    • @Jonathan-sz8wj
      @Jonathan-sz8wj 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I agree that he is merely a man, but I also agree that God is working through him. He has many songs that encourage you to read, he emphasizes that the Word should be an important part in your life. He also calls out those who don't preach the word correctly. He challenges me to truly consider who should be the center of my life, God. He uses rap to draw pop culture closer to Christ. I pray that he continues to preach the gospel through rap.

    Lecrae has a gift from God. Eminem thinks he is good?! God anointed Lectae and Trip Lee. Just from a pure rap standpoint Lecrae crushes Eminem. Lecrae worships our God and that is the main point and God has given him a gift that cannot be matched.

I give my higher no names cause when it's there in front of me there is no doubt that I have doubt about who is in my presence. This and Christians aren't original or doing anything original well honestly the fact that someone chooses to Rap for and about God consistently is out the box within itself. 30years ago you couldn't imagine Gospel/Christian Rap. Using the medium of Rap to express ones love for God is a great thing.Now it has almost become its own Genre only because Hip-Hop hasn't fully accepted it and well main Stream just dont know what to do with it. I say Talent is Talent and if the music is good that all that matters. More power to those who want to use their talents for God,for good, and make a change.

      ***** Well, I majored in religious studies at a Methodist college, focusing on Christianity and Judaism. When I was 21, I participated in an Episcopal program wherein I lived as a Benedictine monk for 40 days, and part of that included Bible/theology study about 3-4 days a week. And generally I was heavily involved in the Episcopal church until I was about 24 years old. Also, I have been friends with many priests, with whom I often talk about religion; in fact, I'm on a Minecraft server that is mostly populated by priests-4 or 5 priests and one freelance writer.
      I think I've given it a fair shake. In fact, I've kind of wasted a lot of my life on assuming that Christian theology had answers. If theology could produce one sufficient reason to believe, I would believe, but so far all I've seen are bad reasons.

      jonathan sanders I thought I had responded to you when you first called me a troll.
      I was not trolling. I'm being sincere. A person who is willing to look me in the eye seems more accountable, more trustworthy, than a supposed omniscient god who seems to hide, even though it has been willing to prove itself in biblical times. I have more reason to look up to Lecrae, even though he is just a musician, than I do to an absent god. Don't beg the question by saying "oh no, He's here, right now" or something like that, because your reasons for thinking that would exist no matter what; you have no sufficient reasons to think God is present, you just say it is.
      You yourself could not differentiate if God was suddenly gone, because you have no criteria for God being here in the first place, you just assume it because of your preexisting belief. Presumably you count things like the mail being delivered on time, or your immune system ridding you of a virus, as proof that God is looking out for you-things that would happen whether or not God exists.

      ***** I remember my deconversion very well. I was in bed at night while working at a church summer camp. I wondered why such awful things happened in the world, when suddenly I realized that my desire to justify why suffering occurred only had the effect of me being able to pretend that suffering wasn't so bad. Ideas like "God having a plan" forced me to believe that bad things could somehow be good in the end, even though I could never see this good end in the real world. I realized that thinking this way ultimately would lead to permitting suffering without a good reason. I literally thought "this thing is poison." And I realized that any belief that permits suffering as its bedfellow is a wicked belief, so I decided the world was better off if I did not believe. So I professed my disbelief to my camp co-workers the next morning.
      Saying that I once believed is a bit misleading. I professed belief because my parents and authority figures impressed it upon me. I never had a real reason to believe. In retrospect I realize that my fervent involvement in the church and in my academic studies was all based upon the supposition that somebody had good reasons for believing, and that I could find them if I worked hard enough. But after talking to many priests and reading many theologians, I realized that in the simplest terms, no one had a better reason than the reasons they told me when I was 6 years old.
      The reason I stopped believing that night was that, in spite of my best efforts, I could not find an adequate theodicy for the problem of evil, and the emotional strain of lacking a theodicy overcame me. The arguments against every theodicy were always far more convincing to me than the theodicy itself. Of course, my rejection of religion wasn't strictly speaking on the grounds of reason, rather, it was a non-rational, emotional sort of justification. But I am convinced this is the only answer that could have dissuaded me, because my reasons for believing in the first place were never rational to begin with.

    He's pretty good I must say,but my only qualm with Christian music is that it is so generic. If Christians are not of the world then why do they constantly have to follow the world's blueprint? I'm not saying that Christians shouldn't do hip hop or metal,but It seems that they should be more innovative if nothing else. For every Christian artist I've heard there's someone secular that sounds the same. I mean there's so many angles to take...you have people like Aesop rock, El-p, Mhz, Mf doom, Kool keith, Illogic, Rakim, Epmd, Madlib,Company Flow,Wu tang, Big Pun, Blackalicious, Nas, Mr. Lif, Danny Brown, Eminem hell even Lil B and the list goes on and on. so many actual innovators in hip hop and just music in general, but when it comes to the Christian side it's just carbon copy alternatives to secular music with clean lyrics. The only truly original Christian group I've ever heard is anathallo.........It's just sad because I don't mind Christian themed music but I also crave originality, and they're just not bringing it.

    • @riqvader318
      @riqvader318 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I totally understand, but my point is that there are no originators in the christian scene. There's only artists following along with what's already out. If a christian artistn came out with an original style, that was truly dope, they would be accepted by a lot more non christian hip hop heads. Originality is one of the things that hip hop was founded on and it's slowly dying out, even in the secular market, but i don't think the christian market ever had it.

      From a musicians perspective, originality is lacking in almost all modern music. Rarely do I hear really "Original" music. As for Christians sounding like secular artists, you've got to draw from something. Especially musicians that come from a secular background like Lecrae. He's more original than all your "K-Love artists"... Worship music is soooo cookie cutter. I hear you man, but is not just Christian music, its pop music in general.

      Walt Duncan People generally choose their believed God and religion based on the morals of that religion and the history of it. There is no way to prove any God is real, but it can make a happier person, and it might force you to follow morals in your life you wish to but cannot without anything backing it up.
