I think that after all the years that I've listened to to a huge amount of various modern hip hop and rap artists, I can sincerely say that lean always affected me the most emotionally, and I always seen more depth to him than any other rapper, and you absolutely cannot not notice his crazy growth/change over the time and attention to detail. like fuck this guy and his crazy ass producers invented a whole new fucking aesthetic and atmosphere for each album and single they've made for over 6.5 years.
what is mindblowing for me is that yung lean in my opinion works with 3 of the best producers in the world (Gud, Sherman and Whitearmor) and they don't work with no one else (except drain gang obv). I enjoy his music videos as he integrates a possible PPD (persisting perception disorder) that has caused his mind to be permanently rewired to visual stimuli.
