Think about how long humans have been on earth, out of all the different generations we could have been alive in, you and me got to be alive in this generation and witness this masterpiece of art, it's so beautiful it makes me cry, Yung Lean has woken up the inner sadboy in me 😢
The feeling when I was going through my city, nobody around me, this song started playing... and it started to rain at the same time. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, TRULY EMOTIONAL.
My 17 year old son introduced me to Yung Lean and the Sadboys three years ago. I'll be 68 this year, and, well, d@mn, these guys are incredible. I am literally a 60's child and lots of ballyhoo about sixties from doowop to Woodstock. With only a few exceptions ("Rubbersoul" "Pet Sounds", "Sittin' In"), Sadboys leaves the sixties where they belong. Much hope for the future in music. Some of my peers are stuck in the sixties. Sad, really. Their loss.
I'm really happy that your son show you this. My advice for you - try to listen GTB & SBE songs from 2012-2013 to 2016 ( include Yung Lean's "Warlord" album and Bladee's "Eversince" album). No doubt that's their golden era of music.
Never before have I heard a song that displays such emotional depth and complexity. I can barely type this comment because my fingers keep slipping from the tears streaming down my face.
@@gamedevyoutube3.030 I always fail miserably when I try to explain that this is one of my favourite songs and its very important to me but then this line comes up💀
almost 10 years since this album... cant think of a better album, and artist, to have lived all these years with. shout out yung sherm on the production on this as well. its crazy the amount of emotions i feel listening to this song. literally transports me back to being 18 again. forever grateful for these guys man
almost 28 now. Listened to it the week it came out., can't agree more. It's crazy how this song is like my vice city for video games. Nostalgia going insane. Down to the blade runner quote at the end, can never forget it.
cant describe how i feel when listening to lean, ecpecially this song. I feel so empty right now in my life and lean is for me the main thing that makes me feel alive.
I remember my friend put this song on repeat, and it just sounded so unique compared to what I usually listen to, and from there, I became a young lean fan
it’s like something you felt before, like something you want to relive, something very peaceful and beautiful, something that you want to see after your death, sweet dream about life you’ve never lived. I’m not sad after this, I’m in complete peacefulness with nothing inside my head, except this sweetest dream.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time...like tears in rain. Time to die."
It is hard to understand that your comment has few likes in front of others. This Roy monologue is a more exciting part mixed with Yung Lean's beats. Funny is how I listened to this song for so many years and only realized yesterday where it was from. Rutger Hauer is immortalized in Roy Batty.
@@Wasabiofip Yeah man, for real. Roy’s monologue represents the main theme of both Blade Runner films. Roy was a replicant who wanted more time to be able to live like a real human, K was a replicant who believed he was human. At the end of both of their lives they came to the realization that being human didn’t necessitate having human DNA or even the average human experience. Neither of their memories were their own, but what Roy did in his lifespan and what K did for Deckard were as human as anything else. That’s the whole point; replicants aren’t any different from humans. God, I love this song and those movies.
If Anyone is interested in the movies referenced here. The pyramid with the light is from Blade runner (cyberpunk movie), the girl running and doing heroin is Christiane F. A 70s German movie about youth around a major bus terminal in Germany. (David Bowie/Brian Eno Soundtrack worth a listen). And the hillbillies, well thats "Gummo" uhhh can't really explain that one. You just gotta watch it. Stay frosty

I love this song and i really adore the vídeo because the different clips from movies do the poerfect emotional things in your hear that makes you cry and thing that there are a lot of people suffering or with depression and we can't do anything to save them, i love the way depresive that is this song.
I was 15 when I first listened to this and I loved it I’m 21 now and I honestly miss those days you truly never know your in the good days until it’s too late look back and seen how fast time has passed it’s sad I’m a failure now wish I did more when I was young
I was the same, now I'm 25, almost 26 and I overcomed this nostalgia feeling, now I just enjoy the music without thinking about the past. Just make this music the music of this time too, then past feelings slowly fade away. Which is good thing
Sometimes i wonder, what is Yung Lean doing right now? This second? He could be doing anything, taking drugs, hanging out with friends, making a song...
I love Yung Lean's style because even though his english is not very strong he always finds a way to say what he means not giving up all the focus on what sounds great. Respect for one of the realist artists this generation produced.
