I lived in N.Z during the 70s 80s 90s and early 2000s and we had the treaty and it didn't look like what governments are doing now so it ain't the treaty. And that's History you have to deal with it, same with Taiwan, China is not wrong in saying Taiwan is actually a part of China. Blame the people in History for creating this mess. Same with Europe, the treaty of Versailles carved up Europe did they consult the people? No. Bad government doing corrupt stuff for corrupt reasons and the people keep voting for it. It's the rule of law. If we dismiss it, everything is invalid including your human right to freedom.

However when they grew up they just didn't want to do anything. Despite generous government support including free tertiary education and no minimum Tertiary entrance score to qualify. It wasn't a lack of opportunity which held them back it was a lack of ambition driven by years of hearing they were a victim who should be pitied. Giving them a voice which is not earned will not improve the lives of Aboriginals it will just keep the cycle going.

The problem is it is a seductive message, a masterpiece of marketing, a "voice", who could disagree? Like BLM an organisation founded by "trained marxists", and corporate bodies fell over themselves to give it money. The problem is not with the radicals, but with the moderates and conservatives. Its been the failure of conservatives to fight back, to root the socialists out of institutions particularly education and the ABC, when they had the power to do it, that now gives us this problem. It is not lack of their own political institutions that is at root of Aboriginal problems. According to an Aboriginal friend these bodies are corrupt to the core, money goes to family and friends, people get paid for jobs that they don't even turn up to. Its grass roots issues like alcohol and drugs and the negative results of a life on welfare. Lack of education, poor nutrition especially in early childhood. Kids apparently roam the streets late at night as it is unsafe to be at home with drunken relatives.

We have also problems with 'descendants' of the 'Incas', the last two, the brothers fighting each other , Huascar and Atahualpa, were executed by Fernando Pizarro, the spanish conquistador, early in the 1400's.
But in contrast , the ancient civilization did develop and cultivated C4 Corn and other foods capable of growing in the low co2 concentration air at 14000 feet altitude , namely only 0.26 gram /m³.

      That is right
In a way the concept and definition of what is 'ownership', differs greatly on the rules of an organized society, which depends on laws to harmonize the relations among people. This is in contrast to a sparce population, living on and off a huge natural area, where the concept of ownership is, at best limited to personal items, but not on 'wild land' open to nomadic groups, living off the natural seasonal fruits.
The concept that aborigines 'owned' the land does simply not apply, unless tracts of land have actually been cultivated and cared for and defended against plunderers.

The path we are going down with all its virtue signaling will only divide us as a country. Just look at NZ where unique Maori power has left most Kiwis powerless, despite also being a majority. Minority rule and those who support division best get their heads out of the sand. Billions have been spent on assisting the Aboriginal people with few tangible benefits. The only actual beneficiaries have been those heading the various Aboriginal boards and councils. One country for all Aussies mate! All this team player crap that HR people espouse is best applied to all Australians, irrespective of your skin colour or origin. I am not sorry that my great, great grandfather was a white British colonizer. How could I be when I wasn't alive? Stop all this guilt stuff and live together and be respected or how we treat each other.
