Darryl Taylor can get to the quarterback. The problem is that he bounces off of them once he gets there. He can't get the bigger ones to the ground.
Coby Bryant isn't bad, probably an NFL caliber player, but the team is just stacked at the position.
If Stone Forsythe is on the hot seat, then the depth at offensive line has improved significantly. He will be on an NFL roster somewhere.
Eskridge holds a roster spot because he is under a rookie deal and Geno has tossed a lot of practice balls to him. His ceiling is probably worth his paycheck for the time being. When the rookie deal is done however, so is Eskridge. Probably forever.

I personally feel that the team wants to somehow show on film that Eskridge has value so that they can trade him for something. Even a 5th or 6th rounder. It must sting to draft someone in the 2nd and get almost nothing out of him. My 2 cents. Peace

Darrell Taylors real problem is SETTING THE EDGE consistently, Shedding blocks and identifying Run vs Pass. He SUCKS at stopping the run, He can be great at getting to the QBs sometimes and can cause fumbles, but most the time he cant shed blocks against OTs and he ends up falling to his knees and taking himself completely out of making plays. Hes a huge liability and he needs to work on his reads coming from the edge. He genuinely looks like hes just out there running as fast as he can after the QB without using his strength or any real pass rush moves outside of his corny spin move that barely ever works lol.. I liked Darrell Taylor but its obvious what he is now. Pretty good if he can find a way to play consistency at a high level, and when hes playing bad, Hes barely worth being in rotation. At this point, Id rather play AGAINST Darrell Taylor, than have him play for the Seahawks.. We gotta get better and so does he. Best to part ways hopefully.

@@Richard-il6wcIts too late for Eskridge to do ANYTHING on a football field that would make him worth a 5th or 6th rounded. A LOT of other teams have better 4th WR options for 6th or 7th rounders. Eskridge being worth a 5th or 6th is a joke.. Barely worth the last pick in the draft at this point

@@rig2037 I don't disagree with your assessment of Taylor, but he essentially became a package player that was utilized only on passing downs. The team knew he was bad at setting the edge and avoided putting him in that position as he basically lost his "starting" or "every down" job. So, he wasn't a factor in the run game because he was utilized primarily on predictable passing downs as a pass rush specialist, not as an early down run stopper. He was in that specialist role because of the issues that you mentioned.
All of this changed, however, when Nwosu got hurt. The team was forced to take Taylor out of the specialist role and utilize him in a way that they didn't necessarily want to.
Hence my criticism of Taylor's inability to take down larger quarterbacks stands. If you intend to utilize him as a pass rush specialist for predictable passing downs (the role he played until Nwosu got hurt), then the fact that he has difficulty bringing down larger quarterbacks becomes the primary issue when determining his roster value.

I think Taylor is a great athlete, not a great football player. Athlete only carries you so far in the NFL...reminds me of a former Seahawk, a #4 overall pick if memory serves, named Aaron Curry. Different position and all but similar career?

Can you imagine if stone was able to play center and do it well?

Can’t be any worse than his play at tackle.

Or....we just try playing a multi award winning center in college as a center in the pros.

Why is Coby Bryant still on this squad? He hasn't passed the eye test at all since being drafted.

Because he can fill in at several dB spots.
