I was going to start using just my m4 iPad’s front camera to stream I was a little upset because OBS wasn’t working correctly for me but now I can have the same great quality like with continuity camera! Keep up the great work! Camo Team!
Sold my PC a while back due to no space for it. Been missing streams lately and the “go live” function on the Xbox just doesn’t do it for me when it comes to quality. I discovered this app a few weeks back a BOOM my iPad fits the bill. Slowly been experimenting and learning Camo. Excited for this feature and what’s to come!

Great Update I‘m still testing a Mobil streaming solution for me and this app helped a lot. It would be awesome if we get ndi hx3 support, more settings für external cameras like the Elgato facecam to set iso and other settings. If possible a audio Routing option for VODs to separate Chanel’s for twitch would be also a massive step forward and a Streamdeck integration would be a dream. I know we are still talking about an iPad app but sometimes dreams get true 😊

Hey there! This is actually already achievable with a little help from Stream Elements. Using that, you can create a custom scene, including live chat, and when you go to save and export it, make sure the drop-down is selected to Camo as that'll make sure it's the right resolution and it will guide you through importing it into the app! You can find the Stream Elements scenes here: widgets.streamelements.com/category/scenes
@@reincubate I'm probably doing it wrong, but when I make an overlay in StreamElements, it only saves a URL that just doesn't seem to be able to scale properly in the expected way for Camo Studio to use (there's no option for me to "publish" the overlay I made). I've tried with your very helpful staff at helpdesk, but this old man is probably a bit confused. Ha ha. Anyway, some ideas would be to use your already awesome Twitch chat interface to "pop out" into the stream. ... or, some sort of slider to scale web elements to a set percentage to fit? Already quite excited by this excellent app - these sorts of things would make me ditch OBS entirely. :)

Amazing app. I hope users feedback would help improve it even further. I have few observations, 1st, when setting up 2 scenes, if 1st scene has screen capture enabled, while the other doesn’t, switching from scene 1 to scene 2 automatically disables screen capture. Hence, going back to scene 1 now means i have to re-enable screen capture which isn’t the best idea. Also, when i select the circular shape for my secondary camera, why does it default back to rectangular shape as soon as i start the screen capture?

We've added the scene switching while without having to re-enable screen capture to our user requests for us to look into! In regard to the circular shape defaulting to a rectangle, this happens due to an iPadOS limitation during screen capture. We hope this opens up in the future to allow for greater customisation.

Hey there! That message is just for non M1+ based iPads as they do not support camera usage for background apps. We now support screen recording on those iPads, but due to that limitation, when you screen record, the secondary input (your camera) cannot be used at the same time.
Hey there! If you are using an audio interface it might be worth checking if the audio interface is set to stereo. If it is then it's expecting two audio sources so if you just have the 1 microphone, it will be channeled entirely into 1 direction. If you set the interface to mono then it should work as normal! If that doesn't work or you don't use an audio interface then please do let us know!

@@reincubate I'm using the "ESI NEVA DUO" for now my solution is using splitter to 2 xlr and it's work fine, I wish Camo Studio have more of the audio settings like mono/stereo, multichannel and even some simple EQ or compressor, thanks for the dedication and commitment of support you give to me, Really appreciate your work👍.

We took a look into the manual for the audio interface but couldn't find anything that suggested it could natively switch to mono audio, so if you are using Camo Studio for iPad to record we'd recommend editing the audio in post using something like Audacity. If you're using it for Streaming then we'd recommend reaching out to ESI and seeing if there's a work around they could suggest to change the audio to mono. With that said, we've also noted it down in our user requests to look into additional audio settings in the app itself like mono/stereo. If there's anything else you'd like to see then we're always eager to hear it!
Another observation i have is when having a scene with an image such as the “Dreamy” scene, the borders and the art of the image covers the secondary camera as the layer is above the secondary camera. Unfortunately, in the current state, it is not possible to get the image layer below the secondary camera. Im not why would this be the case. Even if i decide to make my own scene and add an image as a frame, im unable to get the image layer below the secondary camera. I strongly recommend to leave the decision of layers sequence to the user without restrictions as there are countless scenarios that i dont want to list here where i would like to have one layer on top of another one and visa versa

@@reincubatehey thanks a lot for getting back on this. Here is another one that might be my fault im not sure. So i use an audio interface to connect my Shure mv7 mic to the iPad. Whenever i do this, the app crashes. I tried connecting the mic directly to my iPhone and using my iPhone as a secondary camera, then using the audio interface from my iphone and it worked like a charm. Im not sure why this is happening. I use the same audio interface (muto m2) in final cut for ipad without any issue
@@edittakes6971 No worries at all! That sounds like a nasty bug and definitely not your fault at all! If you reach out to our support team via email at support@reincubate.com then we'd be very eager to get to the bottom of that. If you do reach out to us then it'd be great if you could share some logs which would likely show what's going on inside the app. To do that all you'd need to do is cause the crash, quickly re-open the app, click the settings wheel near the top and there should be an option to "Export logs" under the advanced section.

Hey there! There's currently a driver issue with DJI camera's which we've been in contact with them about to try solve. In the meantime, we'd recommend also reaching out to them to hopefully convince them to release a driver for use with iPad's.
Hey there! At the moment there are two ways of doing this, the first would be to connect your phone to a capture card that's connected to the iPad and play music on the phone. Alternatively you could set one of the sources to "Apps on this iPad" and chose Spotify for example
Quick Question so the updated for me is amazing so far just what we need but my question how do I get audio from the switch into my headphones when I record it captures my mic and game play audio which is exactly what I wanted but was just wondering if there was a way to get audio of the game play into the headphones besides plugging the headphones into the dock
Hey again! It depends on the type of headphones, if you're happy to share with us then we'd be happy to confirm if there's an alternate way you can get audio from the switch! It would also be great to know what you've tried so far and what has and hasn't worked.
Could you please guide me on this question? I want to record a content for my students , i don’t want youTube or any kind of live streaming, just my screen, my video using iphone so that my students could see me while watching the recording and the audio sync with the video recording. After recording, I want to save the video to my ipad. Is this possible? Please let me know
Absolutely, and its flattering that you want to use our app with your students! You don't need to stream with Camo Studio for iPad, and it sounds as though it might actually make a great fit for you. You can use Camo Studio for iPad to screen record apps on that iPad and record the video session more generally with the built in recorder! The button to start and stop recording can be found on the top and looks like a target symbol.

Absolutely great to be able to use an IPhone as additional camera and audio source. One question though.. Is it possible to make more settings for setting up a livestream on TH-cam available for editing? Things like live chat available for replay, monetization etc.? When I set up a livestream on TH-cam using a desktop it shows up as available broadcast in Camo studio but when I start the stream from the IPad (selecting that broadcast) nothing happens on the TH-cam side. I then have to manually create a new broadcast in Camo studio and start a new livestream without all the required settings. If you could share the correct way of setting up a youtube livestream, in a video perhaps, that would be very helpful. P.s. when I plan a livestream ahead of time and join the stream with Camo studio as it has already started I can connect to that broadcast, but I can’t start it a few minutes early. Thank you.

So you can screen capture with Camo Studio for iPad but due to that limitation, you can't also use the built-in camera. It shows that device doesn’t support camera usage in the background so your secondary video input will not appear in the scene

I scan de QR code but the phone doesn't pair with the ipad. I have an endless loading and then a fail.

When I go back to look at the video the top or bottom part of my facecam is cut off it kinda seem like it’s not recording the whole screen
