I love how when Masae won, Chugga went colorless. The absence of an artist's medium can be as powerful as the most dramatic of uses, like here or dead silence after a massive music buildup.
I don't get why Chugga went white. Explain?
@@TheDarkUmbreon8623 The best answer I can come up with is "He's dead inside." He spent so much time and money trying to win with the dog with best odds, yet Masae won by accident on the first try.
My secondary answer is "You know the flat 'what' look that drawn characters sometimes have? This is a full-body version of it." Generally, the characters are drawn in greyscale rather than completely blank like this, but it works here for the above reason.

This is my favorite animation so far! I love how you added Masae at the end and how she had this sidequest done extremely quick due to luck while Chuggaa was stuck on this for hours! Absolutely incredible job.

The moment I heard Masae's voice, I knew what was going happen next. Poor Emile
This was one of the few times chugga's luck was non-existent, and Masae's extreme luck made it only more memorable
Oh no, Chugga's luck was evident... it's just he usually has either extremely good luck, or extremely bad luck, and the dog races yanked out the latter :P

The win was in the "showing it" mode, not on the active attempt at winning.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The animation’s smooth and well drawn, and I love how you tied in Masae being on the other end of the spectrum. I guess we know where Emile’s stupid luck went now!

my favorite things are 1, Chugga not only had the Mask, but also allways bet the best amount possible in case of 2nd while Masae did it without the mask AND the minimun amount possible to only win with 1st, 2, the dog that lagged last in Masaes was the same dog that lagged last in chuggas winning one

Keep in mind Emile was actually showing the mask of truth and trying to win so it took him many tries while Masae like she said was doing a crap shoot and she ends up winning the whole thing on her basically 0th try since she was not trying.

Two Majora's Mask LPs referenced in the same video. My favorite part was when Masae came in, after only ONE doggy race, with the winning dog and Emile just about had a stroke from anger/facepalm.
Did not expect the Masae reference at the end, but that really made this even better than it already was. Your animations seem to be getting better and better, keep it up!
Yo this is all amazing, though I haven’t seen many I just can’t help but flip out over the quality!!
Some constructive criticism: Emile’s usually a natural happy camper and very expressive, I’d personally use more expression for him, like drooping his shoulders for a loss, or being very excited by widening eyes and raising his shoulders. Though we didn’t see him too much in this particular animation, something to note I guess? And it’s all just my personal way of going about things!
The part where Chuggaa bursts out laughing is gold 😂

The doggies are adorable (I love the background one that rolls onto its back), as is Masae holding a doggy. The dogs wagging their tails while being held is also a nice touch. :3
