If I can find a way to sustain it and sing like she does then I Would too. Boxers push themselves to the limit to the detriment of their own body (same thing). whatever the technique Charice uses, its her voice that shines through.
I'm not saying Stacey can't sing, but she is not in the same class with Leona Lewis vocally. To say so is like comparing Alicia Keys to Whitney Houston. Yeah, Alicia can sing but she does not possess the same vocal ability of Whitney.

Any vocal coach will tell you that. They would NEVER tell their student to use unhealthy technique to produce a sound, either you have it or you don't. It's all about working within your range when it comes to singing. It is NOT "irrelevant" that singers who take care of their voices use it in a healthy way so they can still sound great well into their career. You can misuse the cords to the point that you will not be able to produce a sound AT ALL, this is why Charice is has changed her
She may have some power but her voice, is a bit on the squeaky side, which does not satisfy me. Iam not saying shes a bad singer, she just doesn't cut it for me.
Leona Lewis is 3 octaves, 2 notes and one semi-note, she has a bigger range than Beyonce, and this chick doesn't compare to either one of them vocally.

I actually prefer her over Leona's even tho Leona was a better singer, stacey had a better voice with a wider range, leona's range is mostly in the high end..
