Airport itself is fine and one of my favorites (not just because I live here). I was never at the old airport (Stapleton) but know it was close to the city and people were complaining it was too close / too much noise. They moved the new one to be far away; now they are building homes all around this "new" airport and - complaints are starting again from some that it is too noisy. I think the next Airport will be in Kansas. :)
When the video starts it is on the very left mid/mid-upper section of the screen for a few seconds. It goes off screen at 0:07 . Remember it has no roof so not as easy to spot like the Pepsi center ( the large building with white roof).
The area is expanding - fast - so give it some time. After all is built out around it then people will complain why we have airport "too close." This airport was built - for one of the reason s - is due to the old one was too close to the city and people did not like noise in the Stapleton area.
Omg. I just saw my grandparents farm.
When we fly over we see it every time.
Now I miss it even more
Great video , thank you for NOT spoiling it with music as so many others do.
Brilliant views of landing
Indeed! Had a great view this round.
Love it I never get to see the area from this perspective
I loved this view as well. First time going that "extended" route over the city into KDEN airport. Thank you for watching!
Gonna fly there on labor day, lookin forward to it…
Have a good flight!
a very nice sound
Yes, seems to be a quieter engine too.
fantastic video sir
I don't care what anyone says; I am a native, and regardless of how much the transplants have degraded our city... Denver is still the BEST
That was quite a rough touchdown.
When the plane passes downtown Denver, is it possible to see where the old Stapleton airport is located? Is it a park now
It is a development area with much urban sprawl. It was renamed Central Park as it's namesake Mayor Ben Stapleton was a Kluxer in the 1920's.
@@user-hw1cr5uq4z Yikes, I didn't know that.
You can see the old Stapleton tower in this video, at :37 it's bottom right until about 1:10.
I am going to be flying for the first time into Denver pretty soon. I am horrified. I'm not sure I will make it off the ground.
I’m gonna land there too but as a layover . Going to Baltimore
This definitely reminds me of Denver
Well, it is. :)
I expected the Rocky Mountains to be little more tickler than this
They top out at just above 14,000 feet. They're big, but the airport is pretty far from the mountains.
@@alecbramlett yes they are very big
That John Denver is full of S****
Denver is a weird airport, farmland, farmland, farnland,...runway!

So is Mile High Stadium just off screen?

Yea I see it now, Thanks.
Nice airport, but it really is in the middle of nowhere

That's a lot of real estate
What runway is this?
I believe this is 16R.
High altitude
This is from an airplane, not a drone, hence the 'landing' part of the video. :)
@@ColoradoRMN airplane plus mile high city that's wayyy up lol
