Was washing my wife’s car in 30 degree temps with about 6 inches of snow on the ground a couple of weeks ago. Neighbor asked me if I was going to cut the grass after I was done 😂😂. Had to get all the salt off it was driving me nuts. I feel your pain with the cold temps.
I do the same and I live in Tahoe. I hate the salt and grime on the car. All of the neighbors are staring at me as if I’m crazy but I can’t stand the mud and dirt
Did the same last winter and multiple times i had the water freezing as i was rinsing or drying, a few times i had the towel stick to the water i was trying to dry..wasnt even that cold. Now i only wash high 30s low 40s.
Living in NJ & having to wash in the 30s and low 40s for the winter, I can totally relate to the pain you felt! Bronco looks great, looking forward to another video on it!
I want to get something like this for my rinseless wash bucket. A specific one you recommend? What power should I be looking for so it doesn't cook my microfibers?
"This is how you guys feel when you're up North." Can confirm from Ohio. We've had a brutal January this year. This video exemplifies why I'm running hot water into my garage! :)
I know how you feel! I’m ready for spring! I live in Georgia just outside of Atlanta and it’s been in the teens this week. I normally wash 🧼 my car a couple times a week. I did do a rinseless wash in the garage the other day! My car stays pretty clean. I keep it in the garage but drive it every day. Supposed to warm up this week so I hope I can get it washed! Great video I love ❤️ all these new updates your doing to your new house 🏠 Look forward to what’s next 👍
I enjoyed your recent networking video. It just so happens I’ve been considering a similar system recently and I need to do POE cameras outside to monitor our newly built pool. Keep the content coming.
I know you said you weren’t reading comments any longer, but if you do happen to see this, here’s some tips from a guy who deals with a snowy winter every year for washing when it’s cold out (even though you’ll probably only see that level of cold in Florida occasionally). Rubber gloves so the water doesn’t penetrate your skin makes a huge difference. They’re annoying to wear, but save your finger tips from misery. Also, I always fill my rinse bucket prior to starting so I can dip my hands in it when the cold becomes unbearable, and I keep a junk microfiber next to it to dry my hands (gloves) after to prevent immediate cold. Hope this helps.
Thanks for struggling through the cold! If you want your hands to not be as cold, take running gloves and wear them under a pair of black nitrile gloves
Cold weather is why I'm such a rinseless zealot, it's either extremely unpleasant or downright impossible to bucket wash a car outside for 6 months of the year here in MN. Wheels and tires get done inside, pre-wash and rinse outside (as long as it is above 10F and the sun is shining), then rinseless in the garage. If it's colder than that I can do the pre-wash inside and keep water to a minimum so I don't get the humidity too high. If i had to do that with soap I'd be putting at least 3 times the amount of water in the garage, it's not big enough for that and everything would probably get destroyed/rusty/moldy.
Hard to believe you don't want me to run another location where you take all the risk and I get all the reward seems perfect to me haha. Thanks for the content sir keep going! I feel you on being soft; used to be fine to crazy cold around 0 f now it's high 30s to 40s and I'm dying like a whimp damn stay warm.
Dude, I think you are taking things too personally and the reason why I’m saying this is because everyone is doing their best with the products… remember everyone’s trying to learn, and everyone wants to have the best to what they can afford… everyone does not have the money to buy the absolute best of the best and then some people don’t know what the best of the best is, but there’s no reason to be immature and call people out on TH-cam that right there needs to stop.. you are trying to grow a successful business and you’re on TH-cam complaining about someone recommended something that you don’t like that is really really not a good way to react and respond to things in a professional manner. We’re all here trying to listen to you and follow you and learn, but we can’t do that if you are talking down, talking garbage to people because we can also stop watching you.
Your Bronco is such a cool build! I thought your home internet video was cool. I put OpenWRT on a chinese router a year ago since I decided a Ubiquiti setup was going to be overkill for a 1 bedroom apartment. Definitely would love to switch to Ubiquiti though once I'm in a bigger place.
Couple tips when washing outside in colder weather. First wear at least rubber gloves, use hot water in buckets, and if possible use hot water pressure washer. If you have an AR 630 u can plumb a hot water line to pressure washer.
You’d likely have to dilute Decon Soap 50-50 for the metering tips to work. However, given how rarely anyone will use Decon Soap, it’s best to go the old fashioned way and save the metering tips for GSF/Reset and Touchless (1.8% PIR on a single Kranzle 1322 with Aqua Tip).
Love hearing your thoughts on the sometimes weirdo comments, haha. One that ive been seeing a bit lately is 'that is not OG' whenever people dont like your choice (usually a compromise that you explain). Like how can someone sit here and tell the founder of the company (OG) what is and isnt Obsessed Garage? That part gives me a bit of a chuckle. Also people dont keep in mind that businesses, mindstates and ideas evolve over time. What was OG 5 years ago might not be now. Also their perception of what something is supposed to be is subjective. Idk why Im typing this long ass comment. Keep up the vids!
Matt, I appreciate the value you offer in finding great products that makes car care really enjoyable. Garage accessories, tools, etc. thanks for all that you do. Great content.
The Bronco is a beast of a car...hence, the need for two foam cannon usage. Hopefully, as your son gets older, he will provide you a helping hand in washing it; in short, vehicles of this nature are a two-man job. That said, given that you have already polished the car, is the paint in any danger from the elements? If not, how long can a car be left in this "virgin state" before any type of protection is applied?
