It’s just extraordinary. What a time to be alive in the age of Simone Biles, and on top of that, watching the trajectory of Rebeca Andrade, who came back from injuries and has been sweeping podiums ever since. I’m forever a Khorkina fan too. And Ellie Black is such a Canadian icon and hard worker continuing to show up for her team. It’s incredible. Great video.
Whether you like her style or not, agree she is the G.O.A.T or not, one thing that is ABSOLUTELY UNDENIABLE is that Simone has been UTTERLY dominant from the time she stepped onto the WC stage. MY WORD!
@@aliciamcdonald7105 it is indeed. I have been lucky not to have experienced it but watched my poor father go through one. He was absolutely miserable for a whole week before they got it out for him- it just wouldn’t budge.
This video really highlights those standout gymnasts who are always so close yet so far. Cried back in 2017 when Ellie Black won her AA medal. I love these Beyond Medals videos, they really are showcasing how many gymnasts are consistently so close to the top.
I feel like Mai and Rebecca Bross have to be two of the most“oh if only” ones on this list. Would have won without a fall in a routine, so close. I remember Khorkina winning her three AA titles, but refresh my memory when she finished second?
Dominique Dawes also, she'd fall and throw crazy tricks to try and bring her D score back up but she was rock solid in every team final in both the worlds and Olympics
I love your videos!! Will you ever do a series on the most successful gymnasts of all time in each event for total world and Olympic medals? Would love to see that after paris!!
Yes, definitely! I will do a "Best Specialists of All Time" serie after Paris, considering only medals at Worlds + Olympics. Probably giving double of points to the Olympics Medals.
The 2 per country rule makes this video inaccurate. There are better all rounders who don't get to compete because they come from a country with a lot of top notch gymnasts! Ally Raisman is an example.

Rebecca has really grown and excelled I can't wait to see what she does in Paris!
The black girl magic in the thumbnail ❤️💚🖤
Simone GOAT
I like the Thumbnail😃 i like these type of videos🥰
I loved her. Too bad she blew out her knee to the point she cant compete anymore. She had nerves of steel!! Loved her😊

What’s crazy is she won the 2018 title… while dealing with a KIDNEY STONE!! That’s tough personified.
@@saragrant9749 Trust me, I know what the pain of that is like and I can truly say EVEN with medication, it is TOUGH to deal with.

Simone Biles is an 6th World All-Around Title.

She finished 2nd in 1995
@@gymnasticfan9148 that’s right, to Lilia P.

@@shawnie2084 too true. It was always vault that was her Achilles heel.
Yao Jinnan also would have won in 2011 if not for that fall on balance beam and it would have spared us the whole Wieber vs Komova debate!

@@gymnasticfan9148 I would love this as well!
Ooh simone the icon that you are
Um how is Gabby not listed here? Did she not get 2nd at 2015 World’s in the AA?
Just look at the last place here: 2nd+3rd
perfect girls 😊
I love these videos! Can you also do this for worlds event finals?

Where was Chelsie Memmel?!? 😅
She has a 1st and 8th = 25 points.
Thanks
All i know is Helena Rakoczky a bad B 😎
You should not include the ranks from 4th- down, it's irrelevant.. 3rd is enough, in honor of the podium..
It's not irrelevant here...
that's literally the point of the video. title says BEYOND medals for a reason
