  • Air cooled vs oil cooled vs liquid cooled engine - कौन सा सबसे अच्छा है ?
Hi, I am RITEEK SHARMA, Welcome to our TH-cam channel "Er. Riteek Mechanical".
    ● About this video ●
Modern motorcycles feature three primary engine cooling systems: air-cooled, oil-cooled, and liquid-cooled engines. Each method addresses the challenge of managing the heat produced by the internal combustion engine, which generates significant heat through explosions and frictional forces. As engines convert the energy from burning fuel into mechanical energy to turn the wheels, much of this energy is lost as heat, especially at higher revs, increasing the need for effective cooling.
    Types of Engine Cooling Systems:
    1. Air-Cooled Engine
    2. Oil-Cooled Engine
    3. Liquid-Cooled Engine
    1. Air-Cooled Engine
Description: This basic method utilizes natural air as the cooling agent. The engine cylinder is encased in a housing with fins that create airflow channels to dissipate heat. The increased surface area of the fins helps to cool the engine efficiently.
Advantages: Cost-effective and reliable for small engines or those not revving excessively.
Disadvantages: Less efficient for high-performance engines that generate substantial heat, and less effective in hot conditions as the heat around the rider can be problematic.
Use Case: Ideal for small-capacity engines or larger engines in cooler climates where high revs are not a concern.
    2. Oil-Cooled Engine
Description: This method combines air cooling with an oil cooler to manage engine temperature. Engine oil absorbs heat from within the engine and circulates through an external oil cooler, which uses atmospheric air to lower the oil temperature. The oil also acts as a coolant in the engine's cylinder head.
Advantages: Useful when air cooling alone is insufficient, especially for engines that need additional cooling to maintain optimal oil viscosity and reduce friction.
Disadvantages: Less efficient than liquid cooling, as the cooling improves with speed and is not ideal for high-performance engines producing significant heat.
Use Case: Suitable for engines where air cooling is generally adequate but additional cooling is required for specific performance ranges.
    3. Liquid-Cooled Engine
Description: This system is used in high-capacity engines that produce significant power and heat. A coolant circulates through internal channels around the engine to absorb heat, which is then transferred to a radiator. The radiator, assisted by fans, cools the coolant using atmospheric air.
Advantages: Highly effective in maintaining optimal engine temperature across all operating conditions, especially for high-performance engines.
Disadvantages: More complex and requires additional components like a radiator and fans.
Use Case: Ideal for high-capacity engines that require consistent cooling to manage high power output and heat generation.
Each cooling method serves different needs depending on the engine's power output, performance demands, and operating conditions.
    Thank you so much.....

Emergency ke liye water dal skte ho but long term me ye radiator leakage, corrosion, rust or pump me issue dekhne ko milega.
