I've learned more in a few of these Deep Dive videos than the many hours I've spent listening to Professor Messer. Thank you! This is CIDR notation which I also couldn't get a grasp of until I watched this video. It seems so simple now, I don't understand why I had such a hard time learning it.

I completed this video in one sitting and to be honest I did not expect to learn so much when I started. Thanks to you and your star war analogies that made all concepts crystal clear. This is the only video someone needs to master subnetting.

Thanks, Sir, this course helped me to master subnetting and cleared the confusion I had on subnetting like converting binary to decimal and vis versa. 🙏

Thank you, for this great video but how come 10 is 11111111, i.e. 255 and the 1, 2, and the 3 are all zeros? If you had the /8 at the end I would understand that. Is it because it is a class A?

For new guys. To convert into binaries, just do the reverse. Divide by 2. Check where the resulted number fits under which bit. Bit position should nearest highest number. Then keep divinding by 2. On every divission result will give you on n bits. you will see that you have very easily converted decimal number to binaries.
