Wow! I don't know how I missed this device. This might be great as a ultra portable switcher for a classroom. This is pretty much what I wished the Streamer X was.
As a video editor, there is actually a use case for this for me where I could potentially send my client monitory (a live edit feed) back to my client over Zoom/Skype/etc. I do this at home with my ATEM Mini, but I travel a lot, and this would potentially be a. great device for me. But ONLY if they had a passthrough feature. If they get that, I am sold.
I didn't know about this product. Weird that they wouldn't have a UI for adjusting frame rate or mic input volume. Overall nice looking product for maybe an extreme travel situation
@@zephanmoses ok thank you sir. Finally please, will it rather work with wireless video transmitter and receiver which cover longer distance.. I actually intend using with such if it will work fine
Good to know I was wondering because of how you phrased it in the beginning as a two input capture card whether you could actually add input signals separately to obs. I'm going to go look for your review on the J5.
@@fightflyers As with any streaming device or capture device that has one USB cable, there's only ever going to be one video signal. If you're trying to capture multiple individual video signals, you'd have to look into the Blackmagic Decklink cards or similar items.
@@JeffVan604 like any other USB capture device there may be a frame or two. But latency compared to what? Typically you wouldn’t combine something like this with other capture devices.

@@Teacher_Tangents yea I use the streamer x at home but definitely wish it had two inputs.

Thanks for this video. I see myself having this as a usefull tool to be more flexible during projects. The pricepoint is also very affordable.
Yep that was my thinking too. It’s a step above a Camlink and a good addition as a quick backup or something that can just be ready in your bag.

Just released about a week ago.
Maybe if it was 4k. Two cam used cam links would allow you to reframe your shot in post.
Please what is the recommended transmission cable length, can it transmit and switch between cameras usin hdmi cables up to 30metere
HDMI should not be used beyond 10 meters. Consider using HDMI Fiber for longer cable runs. Please see my video about HDMI Fiber cables.

@@zephanmoses thanks
What is the color system (8 or 10 bit)?

J5create have a more versatile version of a dual hdmi capture card that has the very unique feature of chroma key to. Also include PD passthrough
I actually did a review of that a long time ago 😅
I have the J5Create switcher and love it. It also lets you select which audio source to use, which seems to be lacking on this.

How's latency on this thing? 😅
