i have this bike and ive had almost 20yrs! I recently upgraded it and I ride it alot ,I love this bike,everyone who I ever let ride it loves it too.
I've had one of these since new. It's covered a lot of ground. I still use it.

I have one of these bikes. Every bike i get i remove safety stickers, reflectors, rusty bottle cage bolts replaced. It gives it a clean look. Not meaning to be a down buzz. I loved the build and happy you chose brakes and shifters that weren't integrated :)
Awesome bike. I have a 1991 GT Timberline. Almost all original. I can’t bring myself to change out/ upgrade anything on it, besides the tyres. Mine rode like a beast, until I jumped a SMALL speed bump in a car park and folded my front fork forwards. I’m so lucky I still have my front teeth. I found a plain black fork with the same size steerer to replace it. I’m going to try and match the ‘hydro dip’ looking paint job myself. I wish it was a splatter/drip paint job, that would be so much easier to match😬😁

I love the bike. Is the original fork? What size is the fork? Because I had the same bike and the stem is 22.2mm
Thanks!! Yes, it’s the original fork from the bike, but the steerer tube was worked for standard aheadset, still 22.2mm but no thread
You made almost the same choices I did. The only differences were I went with silver parts, different brands and a thumb shifter. Same set up. Great video! Good job!
