Universal Pictures (1990, 2011) HD Logo (aka, "The Thing" [2011] variation)

I noticed that the uploads of this logo on TH-cam looked pretty shoddy so I seeked this out in HD and decided to try and make the colours a little more like the 1990 logo would look on movies while it was used, while syncing the original, gorgeous James Horner score over it to make a non-MCA variation of the logo for folks to enjoy or do whatever with.
One version's in the Cinemascope-y aspect ratio it was presented at, the other's cropped. I figured that as the version of this logo used covers a wide margin of whatever a "open matte" version may of covered that sharing both versions as they are would be enough. Enjoy! :)
Oh yeah, this is also the first upload I've done that I edited with Cyberlink PowerDirector, rather than my usual go-to software! Still...figuring out PowerDirector before deciding to use that for everything, if I ever do, but so far so good? Maybe? Not sure, hopefully this came out okay on uploading. x)

I have no clue why they decided to include the 1990 logo for Thing 2011. But it was a welcome surprise. Maybe a preference from the director?

Weird considering the film takes place before the first one. The variation used in ''Inglorious Basterds'' fits much better.

MCA was reincorporated into Universal Studios in December 1996, so I think they did the same thing with this logo on television airings in early 1997
