- One of my favorite things is to paint little flowers. I hope these inspire you to create little bouquets, cards and fun little paintings for your collection.
In my early years as a student, (and I still consider myself a student!), I would have loved it if my teacher made available to me her lesson reference materials. 📜On PAPER, I’ve used Meeden and Artisto for many years, and you’ll see me use one or the other in most of my tutorials. My Meeden paper suggestion is 100% cotton, has a really great texture and is finer grade. My Artisto paper recommendation is student grade, handles lots of water, (still good for wet on wet) and is a bit less expensive.

I am guilty of a heavy hand, pressing down on my brush too hard, I have to practice! I love these flowers!
Yes, thats a practie for muscle memory and brushstrokes. Moving from light pressure and the tip (brush is verticle) and a heavier pressure and spreading the belly of the brush for those thicker lines (brush more at a diagonal) Awareness is key, and you know what your doing which is great! Now the challenge to change it. lol (easier said than done :-) I love little flowers too. Good morning, don't know if you are awake yet but I really enjoyed your video. I'm the birthday card card person for my church and these little flowers are just what I need. Very awesome video, love your flowers. I'd like to know how to do the ethereal look of your Rose. Ive tried but it's not what i want. I've seen such pretty flowers with that technique where basically you just see the flower and all around is blended out. Any videos? Love to hike also. But it's winter ❄️ saw that California is going to get cold from this polar vortex coming down. Hope it doesn't get to cold for you guys. Bless you for sharing your talents. Lil Deb.
