    quick question: when solving for the determinants (D,Dx,Dy,) once you multiply how do you know which sign to use or is it just subtract
    8x + 4y = somethin
    2x - 5y = somethin
    D = --- ---
    | 8 4 |
    | 2 5 | = 40 (how do you know whether to subtract or add?) 8
    --- ---

    • @1975coucou

    • @jjcadman

      For a system of 2 equations, that may be true (substitution or elimination are probably faster). When you start doing systems of 3 or more equations (for 3 or more variables), Cramer's rule is probably going to be much faster.
      But, learning the 2x2 case is a helpful stepping stone for understanding what you are doing in those more complicated cases.

      yes. but there are teachers in youtube in India who do exactly the same thing as our normal teacher does. they seem to be teaching 'great' but at the end you realize you learned nothing. but they do a lot of other things to create a false excitement.(which is called publicity stunt) some coaching companies do such for their promotion. they either think we know everything previously or they make us fools. and often they talk about things completely useless and totally unrelated to education. both offline and online, youtube teachers do the same.
      but teachers on youtube who are very underrated teach well. they teach everything deeply and step by step like this man. actually there is a way of teaching. anyone who knows cannot be a good teacher no matter how much student they collect by grabbing attention. In India tution is a buissness to almost every teacher except some. primary reason of teaching is not to help the students.
      I have a lot of experience. I went to various pandit teachers to learn maths. they are very popular. but as soon as I entered their coaching I realized I was not learning a single thing. finally after class 9 with literally zero knowledge and too bad marks I went to a teacher near my home. he taught me in the way that I got 99 out of 100 in class 10 and now having maths as a elective subject. sadly, he has health issues now so he can't teach anymore. 😔
