I am SO GLAD that someone finally said this about Starface. Everyone I work with swears by them and I’ve literally NEVER had any luck with them. I even tried the blue ones with salicylic acid but nothing! They don’t absorb the breakout at all and they crinkle up too easily.
I second COSRx they are THE BEST hydrocolloid only patches (not currently using their version with SA bc I’m trying to get pregnant). I have on more than one occasion forgot to put one on until after I applied my sunscreen & it still sticks ALLLL day. And they also work even over multiple sunscreen reapplication if something ‘pops up’ during the day. I keep one of the sleeves in my purse and you get almost 100 of different sizes for like $20 at Ulta.
Cosrx is great! They come in multiple sizes and are affordable. I love that they also have the ones in black packaging that blends seamlessly for under makeup.
I remember wearing stickers on my back to cover my pimples during a middle school dance. I invented unmedicated pimple patches like 16 years ago 🤣 when really, I was just embarrassed and was trying to hide my back acne. We’ve come a long way and I love it!!
Would love to see how you feel about some Asian beauty pimple patches! I have tried and loved Neogen's patches and Some by Mi's patches, both pretty affordable/reasonable amount for the price. And I think everyone has tried CosRx pimple patches at some point. They're definitely not my favorite and I remember their price point not being the best. My favorite right now is Pyungkang Yul's patches. They have centella asiatica, tea tree, salicylic acid, and niacinamide. They are pretty small, but effective at calming any redness for me. Obviously not great for cystic acne or bigger pimples, but they're so effective on little whiteheads and period break outs. Plus, they come in packs of 145 patches for like $18!
I love Purito's All care recovery patches! they have cica in them. also use the cosrx master patch XL for any big clusters of acne i get. I tried Pyungkang Yul's patches before, but it was just hydrocolloid. i didnt even know they had ones with more active ingredients! i'll have to check it out. :)
Peach slices also has a micro needle patch. Every once in a while I get a really deep zit, They seem to take care of the problem extremely fast. But I don't really suffer from acne.
COSRX are soooo goood omg they are the only ones I buy because when I break out I always get like very deep painful almost cystic pimples the ones that feel like hard and are huge and cosrx are so good for them
Can confirm; the Peace Out patches are worth the splurge, I can see a difference in my hormonal acne the next day and they’re relatively invisible on the skin😊
I like the Alba Botanica Acne Dote pimple patches. I have minor adult acne (menopause is the gift that keeps on giving,) and these work really well. They are super sticky and, while they don’t contain salicylic acid, they have tea tree, witch hazel, lentil, and parsley extracts. I like that they’re invisible-I’m not into the stars or hearts or other patterns on my face. I found these at TJ Maxx of all places for $5.99. Bonus!
The ASAP patches by Glowiest are incredible. They don’t advertise themselves as being waterproof, but I have definitely gotten out of the shower only to look in the mirror and realize I forgot to take a patch off and it’s still firmly in place. I got the DUO pack (they have both their daytime and nighttime patches) which had 238 patches (!!) from Costco for $27. I still have more than ⅔ of the box left. Sadly I don’t think they carry it anymore but I think you can get them other places just not at that crazy good price.
Hey Cassandra I'm not really one to comment but you look radiant today your top is really cool and the colour looks so good on you and brings out the colour in your eyes! Gorgeous as always ❤
CosRX patches are the cheapest basic hydrocolloid patch, and come in multiple sizes in the pack so you can fit them to the pimple. They stick well as long as the skin is dry, and are great at sucking the gunk out.
I love the Cosrx pimple patches. They have a big patch that I love for clusters of period acne. I’ve tried some of the others, but found the Cosrx work the best for me. After seeing this video though I think I’m going to go back and give some others a second try.
I have thought about this for a while and have wanted to say something but I'm a bit worried that I would come across as rude and I want to say, first of all that is absolutely not my intention. What I need to say, only meant as constructive criticism is that all the frequently used animal noises in order censor cussing/swearing or/and maybe make it quirky is super distracting and it makes it harder to concentrate on what you really are talking about. Which is such a shame, because the videos and their content are generally super great. I also like watching your videos because you have very much knowledge and you are kind enough to share that knowledge with us, for which I'm also very grateful 🙏❤🙏 So, seriously: Thank you! I also love that you give so good and trustworthy vegan and cruelty free skincare advice. To my knowledge, You are the only one on TH-cam who does that! I value that very high. ❤🌸🪷💞🐻❄️🐻❄️🐻❄️
I used zitstikka killa three nights in a row on a cystic pimple, and it worked perfectly. Super expensive, but worth for the really stubborn ones. I luckily don't get cyst often anymore, maybe once a month or every other month (I'm in my forties), but if this product was available 20-25 years ago I would have used so much money on it.
The mighty patch is my go-to! I have extremely oily skin and they stay on no problem, even in my sleep, and they work so well. Glad to see them so high up on the tier list! Definitely gonna try some of the others you talked about (:
My favorite are the peace out patches. I find they are the only ones that work. I also love the deep Killa patches but peace out came out with the new deep acne patches and I find they work better.
Just tried superstar patches (not star face, but they look similar) as the first acne patches I've ever used - they have hydrocolloid, salicylic acid, and tea tree oil, and they worked really well. And the mixed pack i got?? 240 patches for about $10! Not a bad deal imo ✨️👀✨️
For affordable pimple patches, without actives, my favorite is Rael Pimple Patches, Miracle Invisible Spot Cover. They stick really well (even when I forget I have them on and take a shower 😂 ), does a great job at protecting blemishes and brings that gunk to the surface. For large areas, like a jaw line with multiple breakouts, I like LivaClean Large Hydrocolloid Acne Patches. They aren't as thin/comfortable as the Rael ones, but great for an overnight option when you need to cover a larger area. (Works great to cover friction blisters too)
So glad I dew care is in here! I buy that multi pack for over 2 yrs now. They e been the best even for oily skin types. Makes my stuff disappear overnight or bad ones in less than 2 days.
As someone who uses pimple patches pretty much every day, Peace Out and Zitsticka are my favorites. I also like the Rael chin patches. I'll have to try the Pacifica ones! I just assumed they weren't very good lol.
I'm interested to hear what you think of Hanhoo patches! They're at Walmart and Amazon and very affordable. I really like their Extra Strength ones that have salicylic acid 😊
The dr. Jart+, acropass and cosrx are the best ones for me! Dr. jart and acropass if your acne is on it’s worst state while cosrx is better for after the pus is out. I have the same feedback for the starface patches. Bought the one with salicylic even if it’s too expensive and not available in my country - not effective on my end at all! Doesn’t even stick that much. It’s out after 30 mins from my face.
I love the Master Patch Intensive. Salicylic acid and tea tree oil, and the edges are beveled, so they're virtually invisible. I sometimes don't notice them and start washing my face before I remember they're there. I like to apply a niacinamide mist and sulfur spot treatment, let it dry, and put the patch on top to seal it all in. I tried Peach Slices and Zitsticka microdart patches for deep/early blemishes, and unfortunately they didn't make any difference. The Master Patch Intensive actually helps me head off some of my deep blemishes if I pair it with sulfur. I keep UNMEDICATED patches around to put on broken skin (popped zits) to help them stay clean and heal faster... and to keep my hands off them. Now, anything that claims to suck goo out of unbroken surface-level whiteheads is not gonna do that. It just won't. You have to pop it first or it won't absorb anything. Every time I've put one of those patches on an unbroken surface-level whitehead, it actually just tears the zit open the next day, exposing all the goo it didn't absorb.
Thanks Cassandra! I use the cosrx ones from stylevana when I need to leave the house! Like 3 bucks a pack. I've tried the hero ones, as well as zitsticka, and the cosrx are the most "invisible" on my skin - aka my alternative to wearing concealer lol. Some of the others are more reflective/noticeable or have a slight tint that stands out on my skin. Love the cosrx ones for leaving the house, and I'll use zitsticka to actually treat the zit when I'm home. 😊
I quite like the Rael Beauty Miracle Patch, not sure if they are available in the US but I'm UK and I've been using them for a few years. They don't do anything extra they are just hydrocolloid but they are thin, come in 2 sizes and stay on ok for a few hours at least. Not waterproof and if they are near your mouth and you eat something greasy they will come off but they suck out the gunk and they are pretty inexpensive if you're looking for a mild breakout patch that is cheap 👍🏻
Totally agree with your Starface thoughts. Mighty Patch has been more effective for me, but I did like how decorative starface was. I ended up wearing them to pride last year since the star colors happened to also be the bi-pride flag colors. Perfect coincidence for me!
The best one for me was Hero Cosmetics, those stay on FOREVER but I totally agree with starface. I use starface for when I'm doing makeup looks and I don't want the makeup on the little zits I have. But for real treatment, hero cosmetics is amazing. I use the micropoint for some acne that's coming up before an event, I even got my husband and many friends into them. They're also FSA Eligible as well!
You should try the Marée pimple patches! It has good ingredients and the designs are so cool! They have hearts, stars, and many others and it’s this cool multi colored futuristic type of design. They are a bit expensive, but they are fun and work well! The brand is also vegan and cruelty free!
I only use the Creme shop for normal pimple patches! They have lots of cute designs and do collaborations. They stay on and I get to have flowers on my face
i really love the creme shop patches and the innisfree retinal and cica microneedle ones. Those get rid of my pimples over night and i have deep cysts that are under the surface.
I’ve been using Dots for spots but I think I’ll switch. It’s good for trying to remind me not to pick but they don’t treat and if anything they make the healing process seem slower
Personally, alot of the acne I deal with is particularly raised and I find that regular hydrocolloid patches can never stick to them properly. The game changer for me was pimple patches that have a thin lip around the outer edge which really helps with the grip. My personal favourites are the wishtrend pimple patches. Simply excellent pimple patches that suck all the gunk out. They aren't medicated, but I like them better than any medicated ones I've tried.
such a great breakdown thanks!!!! I get so overwhelmed when trying to decide what brand. I just learned about these and fist got the light blue starface, which I like, but you have to leave on for a long time to work.
I can't use the medicated ones. Both the salicylic acid and tea tree patches will burn my skin. My favorite for non medicated patches are the star face. I have to put them on before moisturizer and then go around them with the moisturizer, and then they stick pretty well. I'm menopause age now, but had bad breakouts all the way up to menopause - now I just get an occasional blemish . I wish these patches had been around when I was younger!
i actually love a plain unmedicated hydrocolloid patch. My skin is sensitive and any additional actives besides what I’m already using actually makes things more painful. I find consistently popping a Hero Patch on it until it goes down is what does wonders for me. (I have hormonal inflammatory acne on sensitive combination skin)
for me the best pimple patches is from a skincare brand called Avarelle. IT works wonders for my skin with its non-vegan ingredients which works best for my skin. absolutely love it.
The starface tea tree ones are absolutely amazing, I reccomend them over any of the others in the starface brand. That and the microclouds, they are the micro needle ones. I wish they made the tea tree ones in more colors than green though
Off topic, but "I think moles are adorable" THANK YOU 😊 Last week someone asked me out of the blue why I don't get mine removed. I was like "what" (yeah, I'm such an eloquent person) and he kinda backpedaled "you don't have to, but if they bother you, a derm can get rid of them with minimal to no scars" My moles are a part of my face, and I think I would look weird (in an uncanny valley kind of way) if they were gone...
Now I just want to go around saying “four dollars per pimple patch plus tax” because it rhymes nicely. The video was quite informative and helpful thanks!
Was expecting you to review hydrocolloid bandages cut up for zits. I've used them a long time and feel they've worked the best in many ways. Also just tried ones from Dollar Tree's brand that are great. I think they have salicylic acid and so e are star shaped. The only bad part is they are clear. I wish they made colored ones.
My husband and I are really enjoying The Princess Royal. I thought it was just me that seems like there are some modern feel to some scenes. 😂 I’m actually enjoying it and their chemistry. The actors and actresses did a great job. ❤
My sweet Cassandra, I cannot believe you missed CosRX pps 😮❤ In my humble opinion they are the worst but so widely available and loved by almost everybody. Also Mizon pps are the best, try them too! Love you and your videos 😊
My favorite ones are Korean ones, they have S.O.S. spot patch written on them and light green box. In Korea you get them in OliveYoung and I think they have them in the US too. Unfortunately not where I live in Europe so, I buy my annual “reserve” when I visit Korea. I am not prone to acne and pimples so it can last me a year 😅
Thank you Cass! I needed this one, since ALL patches I tried failed me miserably. Also! Could you please share your blouse/sweater source? You look amazing, as always!
Have you tried the cloud shaped micro needle ones from starface? I've been tempted by those. I've also been trying to find some good Korean ones because they're just so much more affordable. Loved this video! Definitely gonna try a few of these.
I haven't tried a lot of brands, but my go to acne patches is from litbear. I feel like they really work, and they have a lot of different sizes and shapes. I would love to know your opinion.
Cassandra pleaseeee please if you can get your hands on it try the brand “Acnemy” their Zitless Microdart Pimple Patches. I love them they have retinol, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and oligopeptide- 76 in them. 😍
As always you provide the best info , I have used the Blume ones and liked but not loved. I was thinking of trying the grace and Stella ones, have you tried them ?
Other fun pimple patches I've used are the creme shop cotton candy patches and dreamy skin patches. Tonymoly has bright pink heart patches too. I have the I Dew Care multi pack and Hero multi pack on my amazon subscriptions. The peace out patches didnt impress me.
I definitely want to try some of these! I’ve used a few different ones and my favorite so far are the peach slices deep blemish microdarts. Have you tried these? If so, How do they compare to others on your list?
New Subscriber! Thanks for all you share! I am a big fan of pimple patches and use the "not so cute" ones and often. I wish that after they do their thing, they gunk would be less noticeable because they have to be changed out as the patch looks worse. Do any of the brands "hide" the gunk underneath better or at least until it can be changed out without it being gross? Thanks again, this was a great!
I swear by Korean pimple patches! My ride or die is Purito's All Care Recovery Cica aid. its 51 patches big and small for $14 cad. they have asiaticoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid!
Pacifica also has heart sheped ones with salicylic acid (not sure what I think about them yet) and the I dew care paw ones are also on iherb and so are the mighty patches and I think they ship worldwide And you didn't talk about the cosrx ones 😭 I love them and the mighty patches!
I would love your opinion on TBH skin care for kids. My daughter is a preteen and has started to get an occasional zit. Some simple recommendations for this age group would be great.
I love Zitsticka deep Killa patches. They do the trick every damn time! Wish they'd make them larger though. The Starface Cloud micro dart Patches are ok; just not very sticky. I will try again. I'll also try Peach slices deep blemish micro dart patches as wel. :)
I actually really like the Mizon ones. They're almost invisible, unfortunately not that great for deep pimples since they don't have microneedles but still pretty good. They also have a nose patch.
elf has pimple patches that I'm super curious about! Truly has pimple patches in the shape of little weed plants, and I use Creme shop bc I love their little clouds. Oh and there's a brand that has flowers also but with a gem in the middle that I want to try as well. It's called Squish, looks super cute.
I have never had luck with salicylic acid. It's caused actual blisters on my face. Idk if i have an allergy to it or what. I have had luck with some pimple patches with it in them though. I just can't use cleanser, toners, serums or moisturizer with it lmao.
I am SO GLAD that someone finally said this about Starface. Everyone I work with swears by them and I’ve literally NEVER had any luck with them. I even tried the blue ones with salicylic acid but nothing! They don’t absorb the breakout at all and they crinkle up too easily.
Cosrx is great. Also discovered good molecules was impressed.
I was surprised she didn't include Cosrx! It's great AND affordable. I don't need to spend 20 dollars for pimple patches xD
@@grimalexx Cosrx pretty much popularised it
Good molecules is my favorite brand like ever
I remember wearing stickers on my back to cover my pimples during a middle school dance. I invented unmedicated pimple patches like 16 years ago 🤣 when really, I was just embarrassed and was trying to hide my back acne. We’ve come a long way and I love it!!
Hahaha nice! I think twice as a 1-yr-old I put Vaseline all over my face. Slugging baby!
Would love to see how you feel about some Asian beauty pimple patches! I have tried and loved Neogen's patches and Some by Mi's patches, both pretty affordable/reasonable amount for the price. I just commented on these; They really work!
COSRX are soooo goood omg they are the only ones I buy because when I break out I always get like very deep painful almost cystic pimples the ones that feel like hard and are huge and cosrx are so good for them
Agreed
Aren’t the cosrx patches just hydrocolloid patches?
@@r905 The OG are, but they have the Master Patch line, and intensive contain salicylic acid, and tea tree oil.
Thank you. I’m gonna check those out.
I like the peach slices deep blemish microdart patches. They are really great for the deep pimples!
Same!!! I feel theyre on par with the zitsticka, or atleast a close runner up.
Same!
The only thing I don’t like about those is how small the microdart circle is my pimples are too big for it :(
Can confirm; the Peace Out patches are worth the splurge, I can see a difference in my hormonal acne the next day and they’re relatively invisible on the skin😊
I like the Alba Botanica Acne Dote pimple patches. I have minor adult acne (menopause is the gift that keeps on giving,) and these work really well. I like that they’re invisible-I’m not into the stars or hearts or other patterns on my face. I found these at TJ Maxx of all places for $5.99. Bonus!
Came here to say this exact one. I LOVE THEM. Best ones I've tried personally.
I love these. They really stay on
I was waiting for you to mention the cos rx master patch the whole video!! they are the absolute best
Hanhoo blemish patches work! Love the ones for your nose … perfect for blackheads & absorbs oil.
The ASAP patches by Glowiest are incredible.
The CoxRX ones have worked well for me but have been conned by the alleged micro-needle ones too! X
I love the Zitstika and the hero. I have very stubborn acne (when I do get it) and nothing less helps at all.
I am so happy to hear that they help!!! ❤
This was great timing. I was just thinking about trying pimple patches. Now I know which ones are good and bad!
Peach Slices microdart patches are my favorite!
Same here. I always make sure I have those in stock.
Mine too. They’re less expensive than other microdart patches as well.
I love the Cosrx pimple patches. They have a big patch that I love for clusters of period acne. I’ve tried some of the others, but found the Cosrx work the best for me. After seeing this video though I think I’m going to go back and give some others a second try.

I just found out ZitSticka has an extra strength microdart patch with 2% salicylic acid! The original path only has 0.4% so I'm excited to try it out!
The peace out patches are simply tried & true. They work well & can be found on sales
Same same!
For affordable pimple patches, without actives, my favorite is Rael Pimple Patches, Miracle Invisible Spot Cover. They stick really well (even when I forget I have them on and take a shower 😂 ), does a great job at protecting blemishes and brings that gunk to the surface.

K beauty delivers:
PETITFEE & KOELF - Centella Clearing Spot Patch
PURITO - All Care Recovery Cica-Aid
Peach Slices Deep Blemish- so effective: $9.00 for 9 patches, but worth it,
Cosrx are by far the best and cheapest ones!
COSRX is the only pimple patch I'll buy. Cheap and does the job extremely well.
I love the Master Patch Intensive. Salicylic acid and tea tree oil, and the edges are beveled, so they're virtually invisible. such a great breakdown thanks!!!!
I Dew Care patches have been my staple for years now and they work so well!!!
I would love some reviews on Asian pimple patches!
for me the best pimple patches is from a skincare brand called Avarelle.
I absolutely LOVE the zitsticka. And if you have fsa funds you can purchase the big pack online at the fsa store 🎉
Off topic, but
"I think moles are adorable"
THANK YOU 😊
Last week someone asked me out of the blue why I don't get mine removed. I was like "what" (yeah, I'm such an eloquent person) and he kinda backpedaled "you don't have to, but if they bother you, a derm can get rid of them with minimal to no scars"
My moles are a part of my face, and I think I would look weird (in an uncanny valley kind of way) if they were gone...
I'm with you on this one. Have one in my check under my eye and I love it
The blue Starface patches are my tried and true. Coming from an acne prone girly
What’s your take on the cosrx master patch? Thats what I’ve got currently and I find they’re medium good - definitely want to hear what you think!
HanHoo have some good patches, salicylic acid, tea tree, aloe and more. Very affordable and work pretty good!
My sweet Cassandra, I cannot believe you missed CosRX pps 😮❤ In my humble opinion they are the worst but so widely available and loved by almost everybody. Also Mizon pps are the best, try them too! Love you and your videos 😊
A fantastic educational video, thank you ❤
My favorite ones are Korean ones, they have S.O.S. spot patch written on them and light green box.
The bye bye blemish microneedle patches are one of my favs. When ever I see them I buy a few packs
Had to watch it twice, so much great, detailed info in this video!
I use the CosRx pimple patches. They seem to work well.
My favorite is Jumiso. Second favorite is Cosrx.
Love you and I love sharing your videos with my esti students!
Thank you!! So happy to have you here 🥰
Just wanted to say I was surprised CosRX didn't make the list. I love them and when they go on sale, I stock up since they're also so cheap.
Cassandra pleaseeee please if you can get your hands on it try the brand “Acnemy” their Zitless Microdart Pimple Patches. I love them they have retinol, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and oligopeptide- 76 in them. 😍
Good molecules hands down and I have tried ALOT!
As always you provide the best info , I have used the Blume ones and liked but not loved. I was thinking of trying the grace and Stella ones, have you tried them ?
Rael is amazing and I love these! Where these years ago????
Other fun pimple patches I've used are the creme shop cotton candy patches and dreamy skin patches. Tonymoly has bright pink heart patches too. I have the I Dew Care multi pack and Hero multi pack on my amazon subscriptions. The peace out patches didnt impress me.
Love you Cassandra! Hope you're having a great week 🥰
Right back at you! I love you too! ❤
I definitely want to try some of these! I’ve used a few different ones and my favorite so far are the peach slices deep blemish microdarts. Have you tried these? If so, How do they compare to others on your list?
I use Rael Beauty Miracle Patch. What are your thoughts? 😁
Please review the Miracle patches! Love your videos!❤
I have only tried the COSRX ones that are hydrocolloid, but have been wanting to try the Zitsticka ones or Hero cos.
Pacifica also has heart sheped ones with salicylic acid (not sure what I think about them yet) and the I dew care paw ones are also on iherb and so are the mighty patches and I think they ship worldwide
And you didn't talk about the cosrx ones 😭 I love them and the mighty patches!
COSRX! They are great and not expensive + you get a lot of patches. Can you also test the Rael and PanOxyl patches?
I replaced zitsticka with an ACROPASS - Trouble Cure Set: same 2 steps but cheap
I would LOVE to see you try Isntree Purple Onion Pimple Patches, like your Sunscreen! For like $5...
I love Mario Badescu! Toners and deodorant!
Have you tried PanOxyl’s pimple patches? I really like them and rotate between this brand and Hero. Thanks for the ranking and recommendation!
Looks like Inkey List now also have Hydrocolloid pimple patches! Would you be able to try them out and give us your opinion on them? Thank you!
Have you tried the new zitsticka invisible ones with added azelaic acid? I am obsessed!
The Creme Shop has a huge variety of stickers in really cute shapes, and they've always been my go-to. I'm surprised I didn't see them in this video!
Have you tried the Panoxyl patches? Curious if they're any good since everyone always recommends their face washes.
I have never had luck with salicylic acid. It's caused actual blisters on my face. Idk if i have an allergy to it or what. I have had luck with some pimple patches with it in them though. I just can't use cleanser, toners, serums or moisturizer with it lmao.
