This has been the most awesome AT thru hike I have ever followed! You are absolutely an inspiration! I wish somehow I could put into words how incredible it is to follow along your journey. Words could never express how much I look forward to your next video. How excited I get for you when you reach that next summit. How enjoyable it is for me to see you enjoy yourself. How humbled I am when I see you laugh through the bad and tough things. I know this journey is yours but, I also know, this is a journey i will never forget! Looking forward to VT. Maybe you will avoid Vermud. As for being surprised by how many are following your journey. It's simple.... Where else can we learn pooping with crows etiquette?

Most people wouldn’t even attempt a day hike the places you’ve been. It’s still blowing my mind that you began a SOBO thru hike in DECEMBER! AND ALL THRU JANUARY! I mean, this is astounding. The mental toughness and determination is just incredible. We are watching a hiking legend in the making, people.

Just wondering is the WM sleeping bag you are using is it the Gore Windstopper series? If it is how does it compress down? Do you need a compression sack? I have a older NF -20 Gore Wind Stop and it works great but is a pain in the ass to pack up. How is your bag shedding the moisture? What you are doing is truly amazing. I have hiked a lot in the whites but not in the dead of winter for weeks on end. Much respect. Take care

I've been whining all winter about the cold temps here in Pennsylvania. After watching your hike I'm embarrassed! :-) Not sure how you manage to stay warm enough when you sleep let along in those high winds up in the Presidentials. Looking forward to more of your hike! How were you able to follow the trail when you hiked in the dark? Are the blazes in good shape?

You are showing us the AT like few have seen! It’s so beautiful to see all the snow covered trees and brilliant blue sky! Do you ever amaze yourself when you see a mountain range off in the distance, like the Presidentials, and know that you hiked that to where you are? If you aren’t, then know many of us watching are amazed, impressed and inspired. So glad you are having fun!

One winter I was southbound across lambert ridge in fresh snow, and if it hadn't been for a few inch depression from others I wouldn't have known where the trail was with few blazes. The descent off smarts mountain was solid ice and that experience was only a few miles. You definetly got the gusto for this...stay cheered up even if its cold. You're amazing. How about explaining how your layer system is working while your active or not.....please.

Liked the crow story. Between them, the jays, and the red squirrels, you can't escape scrutiny in the NH woods.
Piece of cake from here on out.
Well, not really, but you will be closer to civilization on a regular basis.
Hanover is one of my most visited trail towns, often dubbed "Hangover" by partying NOBOs, who crawl into Velvet Rocks shelter at all hours of the night to awaken and rejoin their tramilies. One guy came in during a nighttime rainstorm and was so drunk that, upon finding no space on the platform, simply lay down in the mud under the overhang and passed out. I'm itching to get out, and might head for the spot closest to me, Upper Goose Pond Cabin, just to loosen up and get the metabolism going. It's been 8 months and 20 lbs. since my long section hike down South last spring.
Take care of yourself and enjoy the AT/LT, once you get over the pesky PUDS on your way to Maine Junction and the LT. 👍

So funny when you brought up the pooping. I was just thinking I'd ask about pooping in the cold. I have not hiked in temps below 20F, so I'd be freezing and every time would be almost an emergency! Do the privies help with some degree of warmth? I thought maybe at least it would be some protection from the wind. I think I'd consider carrying my stove into the privy for some warmth :D
