I'm glad you are having fun with your boomy, your spec deserves it. I like my ret paladin but it consumes a lot of mana, like A LOT of mana, in pvp. I cannot stand for long fights, which is understandable because there are no items that give strength and intellect in this level. I'm leveling a warlock alt. They were my first choice but i changed my mind in the last 2 days before launch.
I heard ret does really good damage, but like you said mana is the main is issue. I bet at level 40 ret will get really good when they have more mana to work with. I was thinking about leveling an alt soon, my friend is leveling on horde and i was thinking lock or shaman. Lock seems super strong i played one on the hardcore server but died and went hunter 😂
ive been playing boomie too, i think wild growth is worth taking over sunfire. The healing from it is just too op, almost all of your damage is coming from wrath/starsurge anyways
Its good healing, especially aoe healing, but i do more total damage from sunfire than wrath. I think in a game like the one in this video without a healer on our team, it definitely could be better for the team as a whole. I played a bit selfish just to see how many kills i could get. I will try it out sometime!
@@Ross_2312 oh yeah if you're going sunfire and using it in cat form, you'll be doing a lot more sunfire damage than wrath, but without sunfire you'll be out of form all the time. Casting more wraths and moonfires to make up for the sunfires you would be casting in cat, plus instantly healing your whole group an insane amount with wild growth. You damage definitely goes down, but you're still bursty as fuck with wrath/starsurge/moonfire, and you're capable of keeping your team topped off with a single click
@@garysan The main thing in pvp is people will range your wraths, or mele will get on you and you cant cast anymore. You need sunfire to burn them down. I would lose a lot of 1v1s if i took wild growth over sunfire currently. In team fights, sunfire is more efficient dmg/mana than moonfire, and allows you to get out good spread pressure to drain healer mana aswell as force their healer to heal multiple targets, which can at times, allow you to quickly burst someone out who has been rotting from your dots. I do think wild growth could be good if you have no healers, but would greatly decrease your own dmg potential. A big thing is against hunter, shaman, all mele i cant sit there and cast wrath, and losing sunfire would make it very hard to 1v1 any of those classes.
@@Ross_2312 ive never lost a 1v1 to anyone other than geared locks/priest that use mana burn with wild growth. Sunfire is nice for sure, but you're going to self heal more from wild growth than sunfire will do damage to your opponent, so even in a 1v1 wild growth is effectively better. Sunfire is huge for chasing down people and kiting away in cat form though, but if you can just post up on the backline and spam wrath, having wild growth is definitely better. Ideally you could just have 2 different gloves and switch between sunfire and wild growth situationally, i might start doing that actually.
Sunfire initial dmg deals nearly as much as wrath and is instant + dot. If the focus is to kill people Sunfire is a must. Wild growth can be good if there's no healing but 4 WG and you are out of mana, unless your team kills everyone in that period you'll be oom and useless

What do you mean? Like the /focus command? That doesnt work in classic. In later versions /focus will pull up a third target window so you can track someones hp/mana/buffs while freely switching targets to attack and heal.
Me too, the lava burst has a chance to hit twice currently, i believe. They already have good burst potential, but lack consistent dmg. By 40 i think they will be great, same with some of the current lackluster specs like shadow priest, and warrior i really think will be much better too.

I have heard that a lot from horde, about paladins. From Alliance pov shaman seems super good for wsg, 40% move speed when we don’t have mounts seems strong. But honestly they both have their strengths
@@Ross_2312 feral gets that also tho slightly less at 30 and doesn’t have a cast so not really a faction only advantage it won’t be as severe at the next bracket when classes have more of a toolkit imo
Not all servers are the same, like on mine hardly any premades on horde and the premades that do form disband after 1 or 2 loses, of course we have to faces all the servers full of them 3/4 games. That is totally fair.

Same boat I tried Paladin for the very first time in SOD got it to 25 ,and now im leveling a mage xd

Moonkin form doesn’t even do anything for pure damage output, the 3% crit is nice sure but there’s no other benefits.
