One of the most popular songs in Anandabhairavi Ragam. Nice raga alapana followed by pallavi & anupallavi. Chitta swaram in this song is the climax which brings out the subtleness of the raga. Loved it. I play this song on my flute often.

mridangam anyday goes well with carnatic music for it subtle tonal quality. any other percussion can never equal mridangam in that respect. don't understand why leading instrument players try thavil, tabula, etc.

For a veena kutcheri, mridangam is more than sufficient. Ghatam can be added but no necessary. Tabala spoils the veena sound.
