Poprad Airport, an hour away from Jasna, is finally better served since your last video. It’s now got both Ryanair and Wizzair serving it frequently, and a bolt Taxi service has popped up. Maiking it easier to get to the nearby mountain train if you don’t wish to hire a car. It would be nice to see a review of the closer Ski Areas, Tatra Lomnica or Strypske Pleso. Both are connected by the high tatra mountain tram/train line.
Thank you for the update. That's really good news. Although Krakow still might work out cheaper and more convenient for some, depending on where they are flying from and when they book. Great to have more options though. And thanks also for your other suggested ski regions, we'll take a look. We have videos coming out on skiing in Germany and Austria soon so I'm not sure we will fit it in this year.
I live in the CZ and was skiing in Tatra mountains many times, including Jasná. But we lost all reasons to go there. Why? Because of the "development" of that resort. Hotel capacity became much higher than what these few slopes can adopt. So 20+ minutes queues for the lift are normal. It is also very often very windy there so the top lifts do not operate which even increases length of queues. Slopes are generally overcrowded and the quality of the surface is really bad after 12am. Pricing of accommodation and ski passes went very close to those ones in Austria which is ridiculous considering the huge infrastructure advantage of Austria. In the high season it is also often a nightmare to come to Jasná by a car - long traffic jams from Liptovsky Mikulas (12 km!) are pretty normal.
It's always sad when a place you love becomes much busier. I hope you have managed to find somewhere else (I won't ask where so that word doesn't get out). We enjoyed Jasna but yes ski pass cost was high and we definitely had to get out on time in the morning to secure a car parking space. We lived in CZ for a while and did a bit of skiing there too. We'll no doubt return with the children (not to ski) as it's such a beautiful country.
We didn't actually use the ski school in Jasna but I would look at booking ahead to ensure there's availability and it possibly could save you money, not sure. There are ski school details here www.skijasna.com/
I know this a while after you’ve posted this. Me and my mate are looking to come here but we can only find season passes on gopass is there anyway to just buy a pass for around 5-7days?
You could definitely buy day passes, week passes etc. with Gopass when we were there and in advance. I wonder if it's because the season hasn't actually started yet. Maybe take another look when it's all up and running and you should hopefully be able to book ahead for your dates.
Just seen this "Prices are generally released around November time for the coming season, so we suggest getting these bought early to get the best value! Jasná uses a dynamic pricing system similar to airlines, so prices increase as demand increases. Buying in advance can help you get the best value. You can also reschedule tickets for a small fee."

Thanks for the tips , especially flying to Krakow, I would never have thought of it, it's less travel and cheaper than to Bratislava!😊
Glad it was helpful!
Fly to Poprad if you can via Stansted or Luton. It’s less than an hour away from Jasna and 20 to 30 minutes from Tatra Lomnica nearby as well.
Looks like a fab destination!
Yes we had a great time.

Is it cheaper booking ski school in advance?
