I have to say Robbie , that was one of my favourite videos of yours ! Really enjoyed it, looks a very laid back place and lots of decent skiing to be had , all the staff seemed to be amazingly friendly , which I suppose isn’t always the case in some resorts in France !! And your guide seemed incredibly happy to be doing her job , brilliant mate 👍
Not watched this yet but know I'm in for a goodie. Had the honour of sharing the toilet with you at the ski show in London but thought it was weird to say hello. Thanks for the great content Robbie, Keep up the good vids.
Yes Robbie!!! Been waiting for the first new Ski Vid of this season. I found you and subscribed after your Borovets review. Stayed for the beer shenanigans ever since (coincidentally my other love 😂).
You’re very good at this video malarkey. Very chilled and somewhat addictive when sitting down with an early morning coffee. Thank you. Let it snooooow😁
Based on what you have shown us and what you have said on your video. I have booked to go here in 2nd week in march. I am going to Courmayeur a couple of weeks earlier. I am excited to compare the two considering Courmayeur has 106km and Les7 has 120km. They are very similar altitudes too and only about 70km apart as the crow flies. Thank you for your insightful video Robbie
You know the season is coming when Mr Moustache starts posting great ski content again. Missis calls him moustach man so name kind of stuck. Last year she'd ask if Moustache man had posted any new videos when watching TH-cam 😂
Very jealous. Sitting this season out rehabbing from a fractured tibia (acquired at Val-Cenis, would still recommend). I do love the smaller, quieter resorts
Japan is also pretty good value if you can stomach the flight as the yen is super cheap at the moment. My favourite place is Myoko Kogen and one day lift tickets are also around EUR 40 give or take, but for that you get access to 20 lifts, 27 runs and about 750 meters of vertical drop. Oh and did I mention the snow? I've seen it dump over 1 meter overnight there on multiple occasions. I live in Hong Kong so it is easier for me to get to (still a 4 hour flight) but maybe you'd want to consider there for a future destination video?
That is really good value for the passes for how good they look. Next best i've seen recently is la Norma with access to 135km of pistes, I paid around €110 for a 6 day pass last year.
@RobbieKnox Yeah it had a good range so it's suitable for all levels. It's got lots of long greens and blues, but also had some decent black runs and a small snowpark. It's high altitude, North facing and has a good amount of tree shade, so can have still have good snow late season
Robbie, I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Birmingham tour. You should absolutely try SkiMojos for a review. As you mentioned, you don't want to be too tired for your marathon. They've been around for 15+ years, and I just recently bought my own pair. They fit great under the salopettes too super discreetly. I'd be happy to send you my own pair to try out in a video some time this season if you wanted, or weren't able to secure your own pair. I think it's the sort of product that people who struggle to ski due to age or injury would love to hear about on your channel.
Another banger Robbie. Looking forward to your Christmas content like i do every year. You ever thought of doing a live Christmas Day Dinner cooking where we all follow along? I know it might be hard with 3 kids but would be fun.
Looks like a realy nice resort, sweet see what goes on behind the scenes. Can we see a Robbie learns park series? I know we don't bounce so well these days (broke my elbow drunk on a beryl / lime bike recently 😂) but would be fun to watch you learn.
Be interesting to look abit into the numbers around peak times looks pretty empty obviously now but wonder about Christmas feb half term and poss easter.
Grüss Gott Robbie; St. Anton Austria is a MUST! I've done two seasons there and can't recommend it enough. The runs are fairly challenging (blues are reds, reds are blacks) the aprés is amazing; Krazy Kangeroo and Moozewert are a must. The resort is fairly snow-sure and only about an hour from Innsbruck. There are lots of other areas that are linked up such as Zurs and it's all included in the lift pass.Bitte probierst es aus und macht auch ein video für uns! Pfiat di!
Thanks, looks like my sort of resort. Especially with good off piste…though my powder skiing technique is equally lacking…I ski in Scotland! What are the elevations. Is it snow sure. It did look as though many of the pistes are quite narrow.
Yeah, I’ve really not skied loads of powder - I think I need a lesson. I’ve not done lots of research on snow sureness - all I know is there was loads of it in March!
Can anyone recommend this place who has been? I'm a seasoned snowboarder who loves off-piste and trees. Would it keep me entertained? Thanks for the video, made me look into it.
Hi Robbie. I tried a place like this earlier this year (Val Cenis). I had hoped that the beers were cheaper than places like Val d’Isere and Meribel, but they weren’t. The bars charged around €9 for a large beer. How much is a beer in Les 7 Laux please?
This is my local hill. Kids are in the ski school. Very much Grenobles resort for more serious skiers so can be busy when the snow is good but they are picky so often manageable. I would say that it is steep compared to Chamrosse and more fun for better skiers up high. Not super snow sure given its altitude but pretty reliable in winter proper, February. When the Vallon du pra is good it's really good fun. This was filmed last winter late in the season and it was a pretty lean year for snow below 2000m.
If the last couple of years are anything to go by, i would give Bansko a miss regardless of the time of year. I have a friend who lives there and there had been pretty much no season there at all lately.
Guess it gets overlooked because of larger more popular places in France. But maybe also because the altitude at base is 1350 which unfortunately is too low now for much of the season. Sad effects of global warming.

For real though, it’s one of those gems that don’t get too much traffic, not a big name, prices are still reasonable for us in the area, and if you’re lucky with timing etc I’ve done some of my best freeride runs there. In season and if the good day is forecasted, locals will take a day of and come from Grenoble, meaning vallon du pra etc are destroyed as fast as they would be in a big resort. But otherwise it’s great fun even for expert skiers and there’s some good touring to do there as well. Anyway, thx for the video, had fun watching and appreciate you showcasing also blue runs etc.
The person skiing in a green jacket 10 seconds in.... Just, no. I need eye bleach their technique is so bad.
Surprised you can even ski with all the chicks crowding round you Oliver, but I guess that’s what makes you the best skier on the mountain.
You should challenge him to a race

@@RobbieKnox I don't know how Oliver manages to ski with a penis that large... it must drag through the snow, or have a ski of its own!
Just had a domino's pizza delivered and now have a new Robbie Knox upload.. tonight will be a Great night!
Hope the pizza compliments the video nicely.
We are the same 😂
Hell yeah! It's that time of year for Robbie's ski videos! 😁
They’re back!

Not long to go now!

Reports of fresh snow in the Alps and a 30 plus minute Robbie Knox ski video. Here we go!!!

£158 for an adult. There’s a link to all the costs in the description of the video.

Isére because if I ski Chamonix I’ll spend too long on buses between lifts.

Yep , many memories of spending lots of time on packed busses next to garlic laden folks in Chamonix 😂
