Withe exception of Farouq, that offensive room needed an over haul. BV couldn’t count on guys like Anderson who has only played 1 year out of the three he has been in campus. I love the purge and the new mentality that room needed.
i hear idiots on all different types of platforms saying that john mateer doesnt have good athleticism or a great arm, but hes a great point guard with the football. kinda like dillion gabriel. that couldnt be further from the truth. dude squats as much as jalen hurts, has a very good arm, and will likely be in the NFl in a couple years.
@@Mark-zx2bq did you see him squat 600lb in the middle of a game? i didnt. playing better competettion doesnt make your arm less strong/accurate. yall havent beat a top 25 team yet, shouldnt be talking.
@zoomdoof6107 why would I care about a QB squatting 600lbs? And Texas STOMPED Oklahoma this year; a very average QB isn't going to make that better for Oklahoma going forward.
I’m pumped for Mateer! We’ve got some nice WR additions but I’ve never heard of any of them since they came from small schools. Really curious what the TE room will look like.
@@SneeUnit Never fear, you have a 28 year old kid with two years OC experience running the offensive ship. Wait until you see how this kid calls plays. Andrel Anthony is still in the portal, hasn't been picked up by another team yet. Now that we have a proven QB that can put it in his hands, a experienced Online that can pass block, I wonder if Anthony is considering coming back out from the portal?
Very happy to get the combination of Arbuckle and Mateer. One without the other would take a lot more time for OU’s offense to come together. I too was disappointed that Farooq left. But I think it is best for him because I don’t see him making it in the NFL and he should seize the financial opportunity while it’s there. I wish him well.

We signed two WRs yesterday, and our best WR from last year is back. We also have our incoming class, and last year's freshmen who didn't play much. Don't hold your breath, if you think Mateer came here to throw to RBs and H backs.
It would have been UNC if it wasn't us, not Miami. They had Tom Brady calling the dude while he was on campus, and his family said they were headed to Chapel Hill, if they didn't like the deal.

Great get by Oklahoma. Hope it works out well in Norman for the young man.
He is due a big injury. My guess is he gets injured in August. Let’s wait and see.

It’s BV birthday too and he got his guy. Boomer!!!

Why are these comments full of Miami fans, when the dude was going to UNC if he didn't pick OU? Why are they even here?
He will bring in the Wideouts
Doesn't matter. ZERO offensive line. Plays a huge part. Look at cam ward. Great Offensive line + Elite QB = heisman candidate.

Well, the "information about the medical staff" is literally rooted in disproven lies by Anderson. He wasn't truthful in what he said. At all.
As a Miami fan and a Venables despiser, this won't help. Texas will excel in the SEC and Oklahoma will become an also-ran. GO CANES!
Someone just described Mateer as a new Johnny Football!

Not even close 😂😂 Ward played PAC-12 schedule vs Nix, Penix, Williams, Sanders, etc as to Mateer who played Mountain West talent 😭😭😭😭😂
