I enjoy making these steamed parcels made from the banana blossom plant.
This is a Traditional recipe that i learnt from childhood. It is very healthy and nutritious with a good combination of flavors.
Some people look at this plant as a Superfood.

We have a similar dish here in Japan using Bamboo Leaves. I would love to try this with the banana leaves, do they add flavor or can we substitute?
Hi, yes I have also used bamboo leaves before but I personally can find banana leaves more suitable for this dish. The flavor is minimal from the banana leaf and so bamboo leaf would be a good substitute. Thanks so much for your comment.
