      Next stop Daily Mail columnist and lucrative speaking circuit. That man isn't going to be a poor man or an unemployed man. I also didn't realise (until the SNP guy said it) that ex Prime Ministers get £150,000 a year for life.

    • @ChangesOneTim
      @ChangesOneTim ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite. It is a privilege/ honour to be elected to a public office, whether Parliament or a local council, with a duty to serve your constituents. Despite all that's been happening in recent years, I like to think that a silent majority of MPs (including Tories!) still respect that and do behave accordingly.

All home--owners. All good community players. Not greedy, selfish. I am so grateful that I didn't have an offspring with the appalling , disgusting character traits of Boris Johnson. The sheer scale of the damage his antics have done to our country is immeasurable. I agree that he should lose his retired PM's stipend and that his Honours List should be scrapped. There indeed IS "an" answer (not the whole answer) to today's problems, however it requires the unthinkable - looking AND LEARNING from our European neighbours! One of the main reasons that Europe is not as stifled as UK PLC is because a significantly larger percentage of the population is not strangled by the obsession that the British have about owning their own houses. This is a peculiarly British malaise, and one where the use of rental properties is considered a "poor man's alternative". Until the UK learns from this, and hence the repurcussions of everyone being strangled by the mortgage rates, and all that these impact, then there is frankly no hope!

    Watching this video and to me falls to the failure of Brexit. Seeing the mess and excuses if the UK government thinking they can be independent but basically they just want to be shielded by the audit of EU. If UK was still part of the European Union, the Union can help on things, even UK citizens can live to more cheaper countries like Portugal and Spain because EU citizens basically can live and work on EU states..If UK was still at the European union there would be more options and competitions on the big Market but now all citizens are on the hands of UK cronis
