On the fifth day of Pakistan vs New Zealand’s second Test, Pakistani batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed sparked a revolution. He hit a thunderous century while attempting to reach the 319-run mark set by the Kiwis. In 135 balls, he brilliantly scored a century and kept Pakistan in the game. Sarfaraz batted effectively despite the pressure and struck 9 fours and 1 six to register a magnificent century.
In his Test career, Sarfaraz Ahmed has now reached his fourth century. After nearly 9 years, he achieved a Test century with his last Test hundred coming earlier in 2014. The fact that all three of these centuries arrived within the same year made them unique. He eventually ended the century wait by playing an outstanding knock during a time of need.
Sarfaraz Ahmed Keeps Pakistan In The Hunt
With the score at 125-5 at lunch, a series-ending loss was expected, but Sarfaraz and Shakeel gave the New Zealand bowlers a run for their money with a sixth-wicket partnership.
The home team’s 314 against Australia in Karachi in 1994 was the greatest victory while chasing in a Test in Pakistan.
Pakistan was shocked earlier by Sodhi and partner spinner Michael Bracewell, who took three wickets in the opening session. Pakistan began the game two runs without scoring any runs, but before reaching three figures, Imam-ul-Haq (12), captain Babar Azam (27), and Shan Masood (35) were all gone. - กีฬา

We Indians (and the rest of the world) might've made fun of him but he ultimately won the Champions Trophy against us, so massive respect to him. He's had to face a lot of unfair treatment at home from the establishment so even more respect to him for coming back so strong. Hope he can revive Pak cricket in tests too.

Sarfaraz Ahmad played brilliant 4th inning century on day 5 in a very difficult conditions,very memorable batting in test match cricket
He's a great gentleman, extremely humble.
Wonderful to see his comeback, very humble and down the earth comments from him after such a great achievement.
He could have but never pointed out to finger towards anyone. Sometimes you have fall down to become stronger. His performance was not so great in few matches before he was sideline but great comeback.
May be he can play test match and lead test and Rizwan can play ODI and T20 as they both of different style and Babar can lead these two formats.
Ramiz raja never said that Sarfraz’s career is over, he even said in a tv interview that he would never have kept Sarfraz in the squad if he thought his career was over. I dunno why our media distorts information. Also in all fairness Rizwan had scored a century in a test match against Australia so they were justified in playing Rizwan given his performance in the shorter formats as well. That aside this is a great comeback knock from Sarfraz, what a lesson for all watching, he put his head down and kept going and finally got rewarded.
*Sarfraz prooved the haters wrong again and again. Shame on to all those previous authorities who held him back all these years. Shahid Afridi took a hold and brilliant decision.*

This guy has played some really crucial knocks including Champions trophy match against Srilanka which ensure they reach the knock out stage. I remember U19 Final against India in 2006 where just his onfield energy lifted Pakistan to bowl out India to victory.

That being said, i don't fully agree with the people who over politicize his exclusion from the team. His performance graph was dropping since champions trophy and as a captain we lost test matches from clear winning positions... Plus Rizwan out performed him so he lost his place in the eleven...
Now he gave strong performances in domestic so he got his chance.... I think he would have gotten it even if the selection committee was not changed.. he was in the squad announced before and playing eleven mostly decided by the captain.... As he himself said that Babar was going to include him in the eleven as now Rizwan form is not as good as it was....
