This was a beautiful production! Such beautiful singing. Ti' moune was an amazingly talented beautiful voice! My daughter was Ti' moune at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
The musical arrangemets are fresh, so tribal, I love them, the voices the acting, its so sad could never have a chance to see it! This is one of my favorite musicals of all time.
why though? It's not Daniel's story. He was always betrothed to Andrea. Ti Moune's want was to know why the gods saved her as a child and she thought it was to be with him. But really she was a pawn in the god's challenge to see if love could conquer death, which it did. I think in the end it is a happy ending, because while Ti Moune dies, she sets everyone, grand homme and peseant free to love
All i can say is, why did Daniel even let Ti Moune's hopes up that they'll end up together ?? And way to kill the dramatic mood during A Part Of Us with turning her into a tree 😑
The story is a retelling of the original little mermaid story. The way it ends is exactly how the little mermaid ends. Not the Disney version. The original version
Ti Moune's voice is just so incredible I can't find the right words to discribe it!!!!!!!!!!!
Frrr
