I Agree!!! I’ve riding sport bikes with a taller passenger on the back so when I came to a stop they were able to put they’re feet down for me lol. I’m 5ft😢 and looking for a sport/ standard bike that I’d like is hard, but seeing these Indian FTR’s I want one so bad, but I’m pretty sure the Co. would have to lower it just a bit for me😅 and I wonder about that. I will make my way to a indian co and seat on 1 soon
Being a 5'3" none crossfit woman I think you bring a unique perspective to bike reviews that most TH-camrs don't. I think there a lot of people out there that benefit from that perspective. I used to think I was cursed with too long an inseam until I started riding,

The FTR is my dream bike. Love everything about it. I do wish they have a 650 version for a cheaper price but this will be in my garage one day!!! So glad to see you getting some demos in. You deserve it!
Hi Doodle, your opening scenes of Arizona are simply jaw dropping. A great review, and this is when you're in your element! I'm engulfed by your enthusiasm and excitement, and the wind noise was not an issue. This is a beautiful machine, and I found the dash pretty incredible, and 1200cc, that's a lot of muscle! I would love to see you doing U-turns and a track day on this beast! I'm sure the response to your video, will have Indian banging on your door! Looking forward to more reviews.
It is definitely a bad ass bike. You did great, especially for a first ride. My wife is 5' 4" and I am 6' 6". I ride a 900 lb bike and she a 600 lb bike. It truly is Vince and the Pygmy when we are together, but she has true grit like you. I look forward to your next ride!
I rode the same exact bike at demo days for bike week and I loved it! Great review! I can tell you were having a blast riding this bike! So glad Indian listens to their customers and is trying to attract different customers besides just cruiser riders to their brand. Would definitely love to have this bike the garage!
Why have I been eyeing this thing I can’t say. It just called out to me when I saw it in person.. Glad you enjoyed it. Great review and it makes me want to at least test ride it.
I love the look of that bike. It’s definitely one my list to consider when I upgrade from my little 250. Need to feel more competent as a rider in general before I contemplate having that much power. Thanks for the comprehensive overview!
Wow! My prediction came true! Lol. The FTR meets the Doods! So...I have one, haven’t done a review on it but I will soon. I want to get my first service done, then I’ll post it. It’s a beast! I traded in the Street Triple R and boom! Not Looking back! You need two bikes! Salud!

Hey Doodle, Greetings from Ireland. Great review. I saw Blockhead’s video also where he was following you in the twisties. Great review! I did smile when you mentioned this as a "First Bike." No danger of that in the UK. You are allowed a 125cc to begin on and then you have to progressively prove you can ride bigger bikes over time. Please keep the reviews coming.
Good review for this bike. Last year I bought a triumph scrambler 1200 XE with a seat height of 870 mm. I tried the Indian FTR 1200 before. Unfortunately I am too short (1 m 73 cm) for the Indian FTR, like you said in your video, I also had difficulties getting on and off the bike. Also not feeling safe stopping the bike due too my short legs. I love indian motorcycle. I used to own 2 dark horses. Since we have so many twisty roads in Switzerland, I decided to go back to a nimble bike. I will definetly go back to my Iocal Indian Motorcycle store to test drive the FTR. Yo Doodle, this is one Badd Ass Motorsickle . I've been following this Motorsickle since it came out. 2022 Indian nailed it with all the new tweeks. Especially seat height. Keep the shiny side up
Awesome review and video Doodle! By the way 1:33 🤯 Look at that lean!!!! Super impressed my friend! I hope we get to see you spend more time with the FTR and hear what you think long-term. Arizona looks beautiful!
Been watching other Vlogger's videos from this event as well. Looks like it was a great experience! Love your videos, Doodle. You really seem to enjoy what you're doing. Keep it up!
Terrific review, Doodle! My closest Indian dealer is about 155 miles away, or else I would seriously consider this one. By way of comparison there are four Harley dealers within a 60 mile radius. Wake up, Indian!!!!
Awesome video. Oh you're not the only one wishing they had a bigger garage. The FTR S is so beautiful. Omg makes me wonder if someone can make having a Triumph Daytona 675R, Aprilia RS 660 and a Indian FTR S in one garage. But dropping over 26k on two bikes in one year might be pushing it a bit.
Track days lol. Proceeds to ride beautiful desert canyon hairpins in rain mode on a sunny day. I will say the ftr is a game changing motorcycle for the USA. Harley Davidson comes out with a vacuum cleaner looking adv bike and Indian comes out with a 120 hp ,liquid cooled pretty much sportbike with an ohlins suspension option on the R model that you can definitely take to any track day and rip or give a go doing flat track racing if your brave enough. Will be interesting to see how Harley responds.
i watch your videos for reviews more than any other popular channels.. because:- 1. you're exact my height 5' 3.75". and being a man of this height i'm average strong and don't do crossfit 😆 so if you can handle a particular bike most likely i can too with practice.. 2. you bring some perspectives like weight distribution of the bike and your control of the bike, and also how nimble they are. (you're the only person that mentions moto guzzi v7 is top heavy and would cause problems if it were about to fall, that's a really good info for me) 3. i'm also a mountain guy and love to travel. keep running the channel great, and waiting for the hd nightster review, hope it's good for mountains as well..
Great review. I made many a comment on Harley videos in the past to do what Indian did. Invite well known Vloggers to test ride and review but they still haven't listened yet. BTW, I ride Harleys but this FTR has my attention based on Blockhead's and your videos. Based on the comments, looks like I was not the only one who noticed how well you were riding the curvy roads ;-)
Enjoyed your little ride across Arizona land...not unlike where I live, parts of it anyway. As to your new enthusiasm, Are we gonna see Doodle on an Indian in future? Interestingly enough my first thought was an American version of a Ducati Monster! I have an Indian dealership near where I live ( I've peered through the window) although that big American Cruiser type bikes are not really my 'thing' I'm impressed by the way they [Indian] have tried to embrace the modern......unlike the other large, and failing American manufacturer...
I love mine it’s a 2019 and everything that everyone hats about it I love and if you have any cold start issues or throttle control issues talk to Ryan Lloyd at Charlotte NC Indian dealer he can bench flash your ECU and it will ride like a completely different bike starts in 34 degrees and take off with no stalls
Yes, I'm gonna call Indian and tell them you need one for a month to get it up to speed, and you are the best reviewer because you are responsible, committed, and wise. It just makes sense!
Like you, I didn't fall from a beanstock so I can appreciate the lower seat height. I got to sit on this same version of the FTR a couple days ago. I was impressed by the fact that it's got a 1200cc engine but it didn't feel much heavier than my Rebel 500.
PS: riding tip - keep away from the middle line in those tight left curves where you can't see all the way through the curve. Good example why is at 01:50. You head is almost over in the opposite lane. Then there is the truck coming and you need to correct, very obvious. If that driver pulls over the middle line for any reason... Personally, I am never recording comment while riding, that should get my full attention! Enjoy the bike, the landscape looks magnificent! Here the last snow just melts away...
My Ninja 250 will be here next weekend. $1,500 is a small price to pay for staying safer and really learning technique with a larger margin of error. Thinking of posting a TH-cam video about it.
That's one thing I gotta say about Indian...they listen and make changes pretty quickly. There are more than a few year to year changes on the cruisers/baggers thanks to feedback. It's refreshing!
@@mattshaggs2931 I wish Honda had listened. They never even replied to an email I sent asking about the gear ratio on those Honda 750s sitting around everywhere that nobody wants because they are too heavy, not enough power, and always needing another gear. Now it's nearly the same with the new CT125s. The older ones had a high/low transmission, and they are making the CT125s again, but without the high/low trans. that most everybody loved. My next bike won't be a Honda.
Great review video! 👍🏼 I’ve been hearing about this bike (mainly from DDFM on his streams 🙄 LOL) I do have a soft spot for Indian thanks to my grandfather. I’ve got some cool old pics of him on his ‘46 & his ‘48! Kinda want to ride one at least once, you know? Keep up the great work!
Nice review! Thanks! I also watched blockheads review and plan on watching Dan's review. I like what I see from the bike but disappointed how small the gas tank is. Outside of that I wld love to hv one. 👍🏾
No idea where you were in AZ buts it's fricken gorgeous! The details on that bike are also incredibly beautiful. I love what they did with that piece on the top of the tank. You look nice too, doodle. :)
You can safely do gravel roads on your triple with street tires, and it will give you more confidence back on tarmac. No special skills needed here, just (as usual) no sudden front brake. Even though it may seem like you're riding on marbles with a street tire, staying on the throttle and a little speed keeps everything stable. Looking forward to the dirt school.
Thank you! These are the perforated ones bit.ly/IconPursuitGloves and these are the heated ones I wore in some of the B Roll clips I think bit.ly/ArmorHeatedGloves
I REALLY wanted to see you absolutely THRASH on this beast 😂 The more you ride powerful bikes, the farther you'll push your own Triumph, the more comfortable you'll be. Keep at it!!!
I remember back in 94 out in Sturgis at the International Rats Hole Bike Show that they had a mock up Indian Chief, where they were setup a display model to look for investors to bring Indian back into market. I think I even have a polaroid of it in one of my many photo albums, and alot of passerbys chuckled a bit. I seen the potential for sure. Nice bike kiddo!....

The FTR seems like the perfect bike for a chick on a power trip (I mean the fun, healthy kind of power trip, not the control freak kind).
Indian gets some of the most popular vloggers to ride their new bikes and talk about them. Very Smart.
It's been like that with motojournalists. Fete them with food, drink and bikes, not in that order and the reviews come.
Love hearing the excitement in your voice when you talk about the bikes. Hope you never loose that passion.
I wish more reviews mentioned their height like you did. Helps a lot with people concerned about either reaching the ground or being cramped.
I know the feeling! 🤪 so I add it

Cool bike doodle! It fits! Keep riding!
Those Indians are sweet man! The FTR is beautiful! Stay safe out there Doodle!
Such an awesome review I've been looking at one for quite some time now! I'm stuck between the 2021 Ducati streetfighter V4
Nice job! You looked good in the corners. Hope they loan you one to see more about this bike.
Great review. Nice foto, lots of information and most important of all a personal tone and approach 👍👍👍
Hey cool!! Email me those pics will ya?
Check your nearby Indian dealers - many places are doing demo days now!
Nice review! Thanks! I also watched blockheads review and plan on watching Dan's review. I like what I see from the bike but disappointed how small the gas tank is. Outside of that I wld love to hv one. 👍🏾
I thoroughly enjoyed the FTR I test rode at Sturgis 2019. Can’t wait to give this one a try!
No idea where you were in AZ buts it's fricken gorgeous!
The details on that bike are also incredibly beautiful. I love what they did with that piece on the top of the tank.
You look nice too, doodle. :)
Isn’t it!!!! That was up in Tortilla flats
Just outside of Phoenix
Your videos are fun. Keep up the good work!
You found one of the four twisy roads in AZ. I ride it every weekend. Rode it today, in fact. Great vid, I really like that bike.
Uh oh, you're gonna get hooked on that power. It is a very pretty bike. I'd say go for it.
As a fellow Triple rider, I really appreciated you talking about your test ride and experience comparing it. I'm gonna head down to try out an FTR :)
YOURE GONNA FRIGGIN LOVE IT!!
Great as usual - happy Friday!
Very nice dash display. Beautiful scenery.
Great review, looks nice where you were, still wet and windy in England 😫
Ah man!
Cool bike ,cool riding, very cool young lady. You are going to be a TH-cam sensation. Thanks for the videos.
Really nice Doodle, we used to call bikes with a radiator a "Water Buffalo" :) Stay safe, stay well, and enjoy the ride! Salute :)
Hi from the UK! Can I ask you what gloves you are wearing? Great review by the way!
Thank you! These are the perforated ones bit.ly/IconPursuitGloves and these are the heated ones I wore in some of the B Roll clips I think bit.ly/ArmorHeatedGloves
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle Thanks Doodle!
I wish there were moun-ins in Florida :-) I miss the Blue Ridge Parkway, sometimes. Nice bike.
Dude that view is amazing love the bike looks alive
Great review! You handled that Indian like a boss 👏
Loved the AZ scenery, too!
I REALLY wanted to see you absolutely THRASH on this beast 😂 The more you ride powerful bikes, the farther you'll push your own Triumph, the more comfortable you'll be. Keep at it!!!
1290 Super Duke R is the real Vtwin thrasher.
@@exothermal.sprocket They are incredible!
Thank you for believing in me!! 😂
Cool!!
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle Kool Hand Luke!
OMG my dream bike, thanks!!
Great video till you brought up the video thief Dan. Thanks for sharing. Much love. Stay healthy and safe.
that looks like a really sweet bike! I have to try it .
It’s a beautiful bike for sure, I sat on a carbon one the other day at the local dealership and liked the feel of it.
Nice 1st Impressions review. Glad to see Polaris step up the game with Indian. A US sportbike soon?
