The outside (rear) foot looks like it’s lifting too soon, allowing the binder to pull your material back at the end of every stitch. I think fixing that timing issue would eliminate the short stitches at the start of each operation and allow more efficient, accurate sewing. Just my $.02
very neat folder/attachment you have here. could you please share the maker/model and perhaps where to get one? i could really use a double fold attachment on my cyclinder arm machine. for now i tried few attachments, but they don't work nearly as well as yours. thanks in advance!
There seems to be an issue with the foot timing...is it normal that the presser foot moves the material slightly back at the end of its forward course!?
this is a great video just like other videos in your video stream. thanks for sharing. could you please confirm the binding tape width, is it 1 inch (25mm) or is it 2 inch (50mm)? 0:18 you mentioned 2 inch (25mm), so that confused me a bit. not trying to be fresh here, just really want to know if this binder attachment is capable of taking a 2 inch tape. thanks again for sharing, i am planning to purchase a similar machine!
The original Durkopp Adler 205-370 machines are not longer in production. They are rarely available used, but a handful generic copies are still available new (e.g Cowboy/Hightex, Global, etc.) Some of copies actually have improvements over the original - I have two new generic copies of the 205-370 for sale ($3,500) that have metal parts where my original Durkopp Adler shown in the video had plastic parts.
The machine can go considerably faster. I've geared it slow for leather work and I prefer to sew slow. I'm guessing the machine can go up to 300 or so stitches per minute with this setup, but I never sew anywhere near that fast.
Hello Uwe, at first i need to say thx for your videos! fortenetly the Support plate for binder ist not avalible anymore on khsew.com ...do you have some information where i could get it ? ..exept from official Durkopp Adler seit for price of 373 € thanks one more time ! Greetings from Austria

Lovely machine and amazing stitch! Is this machine sold within the US?

Does the machine have to run this slowly for this operation? Or does the thread size dictate that speed?
