Bro yall make it look so eazy ive been doing it for 8 hours now and haven't got higher then like 1 inch off the ground but i won't stop. Love the videos man keep it up.
Yes step 4 is a great way to pop backwards, everyone talks about it but no one explains in. Tweaking the back leg def helps. Maybe not that dramatic but idk
Christ! I’ve been on a board for almost four years now and I just look constantly for new little tips and tricks to improve my tricks and this little vid with bending the back knee a little inwards instantly improved my tricks. I’ve seen it before but never really paid attention to it. So what I’m trying to say is cheers Danny Bhoy!
I am a visual learner and what I did understand is that you need to kind of pop, then jump there is a thin sweet spot between them that makes your ollie be more fluid and not just be a tiny rocket ollie. -Your front leg must slide far until reaches the nose beggining to help the skate be pushed up. Shoulders always following the parallel to the skate line The more you crouch, more you get up but don't like "charge" your ollie by getting down for a lot of time because it can cause your ollie to be weaker
Some instructors completely forget what make tricks stable sometimes. The straighter you keep your shoulder in line with the board, the clearer pop timing and positioning come.
I get really good pop when i ollie, but still struggle to level out my board. Part of that is i dont tuck my knees in as much and push the board forward with my front foot. Theyre still pretty rocket.
Any advice for a leg amputee? My left (front) ankle doesn’t articulate so I can’t do that “broom brush” move with the left foot. Just started skating. Thank you!
You might have trouble learning from most guides if you're not working with the same set of limbs as 99 percent of skaters, you might need to find a personal instructor. I hope you learn to ollie though, I myself can't ollie yet
I heard someone say that you don’t actually have to slide your foot and can instead just lift your foot high up and it’ll kinda just slide automatically. Is this true?
would be great to have more annotations on this vid! like on the jumping part to get the motion, what should i be concentrating on? where should my weight be when crouched ?
I feel like people dont emphasize it enough, but BEND YOUR BACK LEG WHEN YOU POP!!! This was a big mistake that i often made, and this will help you so much more when you go to ollie.
Idky but it's easier for me to ollie moving instead of stand still. I'm still working on that and ways to stop lmfao. Once I master ollie then on to shuvs
And you cocking your knee for that pop/launch is important too I notice your front legs shin/calf is damn near laying against your board before your slide it up for that high a$$ ollie
Step 5: “just Ollie duhh”
….prettty much what I got out of this 😂
there is no way to really help, push down, jump bring up front foot.
@@MeeskaMouskaToolyup, there aren't really any cheatcodes in skateboarding. You just gotta trust yourself, commit and keep trying every time you fail.
He showed the shoulder though. That's the most important part.
Step 5 bring your back leg up
@@bassyeyyeah I’ve learned that shoulder movement helps so much
best Ollie tutorial I've seen, thankyou so much Dan!

After 18 months of having an extremely inconsistent and frustrating ollie, this legit made it %1000 better essentially overnight. Cheers man.

bro, seriously, the best tutorial I watched so far and you didn't even talked!! Thanks!!

Watching this video I started turning my knee in like you do and man it gives me way better balance when popping up
Bro actually made me Ollie higher without talking , thank you 🙏
i love that freaking board design so much dawg
Showed this to my son who is trying to Ollie. Thanks man!
Some instructors completely forget what make tricks stable sometimes. The straighter you keep your shoulder in line with the board, the clearer pop timing and positioning come.
Shoulders*
Ollie so buttery they asking, who's his sponsor 💯
Those vans are sick
U can find them everywhere at Plato’s Closet
OMG! Do they have a fever ar-are they OK do they have a cold or anything??
good that you show the jump is before the pop!
I'm practicing actually and seeing this looks like very Useful. THANKS!🤘🖖😊
not me thinking on step 5 that my internet went out
Pense que mi orientacion de pies era la unica y que nunca podria hacerlo.
Genial!!!🎉🎉🎉
This actually helped me thanks👍
I love how they make it look easy :)
Amazing! Thanks Dan!
You make it so easy man
Awesome skating moves
Best Olli visualization
Thanks I really needed this😅
Thanks MGK!
Bro, that holding the gate is genius. Just to get the basic jump down.
Dream skate spot right there
Where should I be looking when I do it ? I look at my feet normally but it can put me off, should I look in front of me ?
I always watch my feet when first learning tricks
@@Danwebz cheers Dan
@@Danwebzyes, I think later, over time, when you get used to the exercise, you can do it even with your eyes closed
진짜 잘하신다. 저도 알리 마스터하고 싶네요.
excellent tutorial!
Think you could do this with backside flips? I can’t pop them well and my flick is bad
I get really good pop when i ollie, but still struggle to level out my board. Part of that is i dont tuck my knees in as much and push the board forward with my front foot. Theyre still pretty rocket.
you are my best teacher!!
What about switch? I'm goofy and right now I'm trying switch Ollies. Is there any tip that might help?
What’s the size?
I hope i can learn this. I just started.
I like to add on a bit, when you jump just keep your shoulder to their sides do not rotate your torso.
Rlly nice board bro
Holding onto a fence is helpful😊

Your weight should be distributed on both legs when crouching
Btw bro ... These are some really nice shoes , and a pretty nice content for beginners...
Thanks ❤
Bro the knee positioning is crucial I finally got air on my Ollie instead of one cm off the ground 🙏🙏
Is this Woodbridge???
yes lmao
MGK skating tips :D
Great video, im giving up skateboarding cause i cant do this basic thing but i want to try your technique tommorow.
Try freestyle
@@hazyray243 what is freestyle? I guess is should know by now
I feel like people dont emphasize it enough, but BEND YOUR BACK LEG WHEN YOU POP!!! This was a big mistake that i often made, and this will help you so much more when you go to ollie.
the holding on to the rails is so real lmfao i did that when i landed my first tiny ollie
What shoes are those called?
Noice shoes btw, i need to get those
very nice detailed video
Hey Mr. Webz, could you do a heelflip tutorial. I cant seem to land it but i have the board flick right just trouble keeping it under me
step 1: move, step 2: ollie
that back knee goes INWARD like what when you jump?
gonna have to try that
What a perfect vid great job!!! Killed it!!!🎉❤
You happy😭 I watched this 3 times because I thought the video lagged so I scrolled down and back up to this until I waited
thanks
Shoes?
I can’t get my leg to consistently move left to level out the board. Might be from all the ankle injuries limiting my mobility.
thanks mgk
everyone always forgets to talk about lifting your back foot off the board, i feel like thats just so natural nobody realises!
it looks so easy
Does someone know where to buy this hoodie?
“If still struggling”
Me: awl ok it make sense now
Pop slide down jump
I can get the board up and level. But my back foot can never seem to find the board. I land with just my front foot on.
How jump higher
Woah, shoulders above the board
If those are above your board
Then your legs should be too!
Wow. Crazy pop too
I just keep trying, can do a small one when rolling but still cant go over pavement:(
Omg Tysm
How old is too old to start skating?
I think, for me, the big thing is popping too early. You want to have your back foot almost extended from your jump before popping.
I keep landing crooked (like I turn backside) preventing me from moving forward. Any tips anyone?
keep shoulders in a straight line and don't rotate your torso
I can ollie stationary i just cant seem to ollie while i cruise
I can do it while holding smth but not standing still
Idky but it's easier for me to ollie moving instead of stand still. I'm still working on that and ways to stop lmfao. Once I master ollie then on to shuvs
I tend to ghost pop when moving too fast smh..
Что такое фловел клосе?
Watching this makes me believe that i can make it on TH-cam too
I only got problems with sliding my foot bc my ancle
I thought my phone was glitching for step 3 4 and 5😭😭
Step 1: Jump!! Thank you. That's the Most important part
Ah, so you have to bend your right knee inwards.
My problem is that them "legs dont work like they used to before ". Need to retrain my muscles.
Im a newbie. Coming from fingerboarding I think I get how it works. I'm just scared as shit to commit LMAO
Steezy
And you cocking your knee for that pop/launch is important too
I notice your front legs shin/calf is damn near laying against your board before your slide it up for that high a$$ ollie
Alt title name, how to ollie
Don’t turn your head. Hips will follow and you’ll be eating shit in no time.

Bro not those shoes…
This is bad, youre not supposed to sandwich the tail to the ground, it gives the wrong impression
No no no step 1: learn how to do an ollie not moving
This "follow close" Will crush your knees. Don't do this, pls.
