It's strange to hear you say that the pandemic hurt local coffee shops in New York because here in Vancouver, it played out slightly differently. Starbucks has shut down a large number of their store fronts in Vancouver leaving lots of empty retail space. The local roasting companies, who couldn't afford to rent their own store front before the pandemic, have opened up their own cafes in the vacant stores. We're seeing a renaissance in locally-owned cafes here.
@@originsabridged That would be fantastic. I always support local businesses when I can and would love to see small businesses make a comeback in every community.
As a coffee farmer I think this is lacking the connection back to origin where coffee is farmed. Majority of the consumers don’t realize when they buy cheap coffee it's because the farmer was paid low prices. In most cases this means the farmer can barely have enough to make a living for their family.. I think the 4th wave coffee should bring foward the story of how hard the people at origin are working to farm our daily cup of joe. Closing the gap between the farmer and the consumer. Either way cool video! Good job on the editing and story telling.
That would be really nice for that to be the 4th wave. A lot of people are leaning towards companies and businesses that actually make them feel something. So if someone were to package it right I think it could be a real success! And thanks for the positive feedback 🙌🏾
Mom and pops just need to secure a different market. Blank street is focused on grab and go. Perhaps Mom and pops should distinguish themselves with ambiance and vibes. Slow coffee.
I 100% agree, similar to how malls are becoming more of an entertainment site. Mom and shops will have to offer more than just good food. Ambiance/ Instagramable details will be key.
Very cool video! I am glad that the algorithm got us together. Greetings from Germany!
Germany wow that’s awesome but thanks much appreciated!

Wow that’s amazing, I love that for Vancouver! Hopefully there’s a similar renaissance in NY.

Nobody care about the farmers as long as they can sip a cup of good coffee
Ahead of the curve here 💸📈
They definitely are!
Great video
Thank you, very much appreciated 🤞🏾
I guess I gotta go try blank street cafe now lol never heard of it until today!
Yes you do! Tell them Origins Abridged sent you 😂
Good video keep them coming bro
Thank you bro much appreciated and Happy New Year
Hmm never knew about this. Interesting to learn about I’m going to check it out now lol
Definitely need to check it out! Is it hype or is it actually good
Coffee is coffee
Is air air? Is milk milk? Is juice juice? Is wine wine!? Is coffee really just coffee lmao jk but that’s how some people really feel
I like blank street. But still prefer Starbucks for a quick hit
Yeah I’m with you on that for sure but it’s always cool to even have another option
If it's just an expensive machine doing all the work i guess my question is why not just make it a vending machine business and call it a day.

Make more bro
Thanks bro! Definitely more to come
They would never succeed in Bosnia because here people don't drink coffee and go but they sit and enjoy conversation
Who cares?
Lol can’t lie the “who cares” made me laugh 😂 but I still respect the Bosnian perspective
Personally I enjoy both. But nothing beats some good coffee and conversation!
Da STREETZ
Cue dramatic music sound 😂
Its alright, but if yu live in new york, Blank street coffee is just straight up ass.
Lol I guess the machines can’t make the coffee with love like the baristas
