    Haha I love that you put that really bad closeup shot in the vid and you even noted it. Your sense of humor is great 😅😂😁. Maybe film your van repairs? I would love to see how you tackle your repair issues.

    Hi there! Just wanted to say I found your videos looking at van builds, and see that you visited where I lived for 11 years in Las Cruces (living in the Midwest now) 😊 thanks for posting videos and for the reminder I need to get back on the road to visit the desert again! 😀

    At 4:10 that "government facility" is probably part of White Sands Missile Range. BTW, if you're still in the area, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time is La Posta de Mesilla in Mesilla, NM right next door to Las Cruces.

    Have you looked at trying to lift the van? I'm trying to find options for mine. I stepped up the tired to 205/70/15s. Think i might go up another size to 205/75/15s. In addition to that I'd like 1 or 2 more inches in height

      Personally, I think the stock configuration is a good balance of on road handling and ground clearance for my use, so I don't plan to modify it in that way. But, I do obviously see the appeal of having bigger tires and more clearance.

      @@dustyodyssey cant argue that. When ever you do need new tires, check out the yokohama geolander a/t in 205/70/15 are amazing on the dirt roads. Little loud on the highway though but not a noticeable size difference really. plus of you air them down for dirt roads then your back at stock height

    What are those circles on the rock at 4:12 and 5:55?

    • @blueron827
      @blueron827 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you look close at 5:48 the circle in across Max' face as well as the rocks in the background. So it must be lens flare. A wide angle lens with no lens hood and the sun in the right (wrong) position will do it. Or maybe aliens!!!!

    • @koltrasten
      @koltrasten 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blueron827 Yeah I was thinking it had to be a lens flare but there is something that feels off about it, idk what it is, the shape maybe? Im gonna go with aliens xD :D

    • @dustyodyssey
      @dustyodyssey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty sure that's lens flare. But maybe? ...aliens?

    If you ever need a place to crash in the Portland area, hit me up! I've already got a transit connect that I park in my driveway so no one in the neighborhood would even notice.
