Without those life challenges, we wouldn’t be who we are today. Being in depression while showing up for people around us and also pushing ourselves out of that depression to live our daily lives really shows us that we are powerful beings. & that God got us.🤞

I came across your video a few years ago & it came at the right time. I had just moved to Asia on my own and my confidence has plummeted with all the new changes. I’m still in Asia and still growing but it does take coming out of your shell & facing small or big fears. I still watch your videos haha & I’ll continue to do so. It was really brave of you to share. Love to see your humour come out too.

I permed my hair myself and it wà down hill from then. It looked healthy and beautiful but it started shedding. Don't really think it was the perm but my hair was never the same. Went from from shoulder length hair to a big chop. Funny enough it's a regular pattern every time I perm my hair I end up in this situation.
Octavia have you ever tried natural short cut? I think you could rock it. That's what I am wearing right now and I love it.
Same thing happened to me, I wonder why. Which brand did you use. I think mizani broke my hair. I switch to ors, so far so good

Hi Octavia, have you considered a keratin treatment or heat training your hair? The keratin lasts longer than a relaxer my cousins have been doing it for years. Also a kinky straight look would look so pretty on you and be easier to maintain. This comment was posted in sincere respect . Love your channel❤

I've been with you since your relaxed hair days, I cut mine all off in 2020 just like you, then went natural like you then now I have a pixie cut like you! Thank you for being an inspiration through my hair journey. You're a beautiful Jamaican woman who have a lots to offer. Thank you so much!
I went through the same thing with my hair. Sew in, natural, wigs, breakage, broke off, big chop, and do it all over again for years 🤦🏾♀️ I finally committed to no relaxer and stayed in small knotless braids for a year and thank got it grew to a decent length. Now I’m back to sew ins with a leave out and a silk press sometimes. I had to get the right products for my hair and give it a deep condition and treatment with every wash. The blow dryer and flat iron you use is very important. To help ware off heat damage and regular trims. Happy Hair growth.

Not sure if maybe try using the Jamaican black castor oil to help grow out the thinning spot. I'm dealing with same issue too.I use the Miele hair growth oil too..Mine is starting to grow back.

I’ve been kind of down about my Instagram and trying to keep up being consistent with it when I wasn’t okay, but I want to keep my page positive and inspire other people to wear the fashion they want-and despite there being few posts those posts were made with good feelings and when I was doing great, and not just trying to beat the algorithm and stressing myself out. I hope this year I can be more consistent without the burnout like last year, but I won’t beat myself up if it takes a while to get there if it means I can be authentic with my audience. The best way to grow on Instagram is to forget about the algorithm forget about trends and just do what makes you happy and do what you believe will inspire if only one person out there and I promise you you’re a tribe will find you in due time.

I just remember watching one of your videos I believe in 2020 and you were like “I need a change”, you needed a to make a change, you were in a rough spot at that moment (not to bring that up). I relax my hair at home on the sides and back and it’s super convenient. Get the Mizani relaxer from Amazon. It’s super easy. You’ll need to buy a neutralizing shampoo as well.

This was so lovely to watch. If you are going to make a TH-cam channel it can be scary and also exciting. I have been doing TH-cam for over two years and I have learned so much and have grown as a person and my community. I think if you are going to do your first video just do it and just remember that sometimes your biggest supporters might not be your family and friends but that’s alright just keep going and do not compare your channel with any one else. Go to your Doc and get your hemoglobin levels checked and see if you have anemia. If it's below 11.6, or in single digits, it will definitely affect your hair and a host of other things.

Girl I am doing the same thing this week too......only fish and shrimp. I also made a good escovitch sauce and tried it with sardines.......it was amazing. I did escovitch sardine wrap with vegetables in it.
