Another really interesting video, Phil. I share your love of street photography and am always amazed at the reaction of a small number of people. Everyone loves looking at old photos. Seeing how neighbourhoods looked in the old days and how much they have changed, how people dressed and how much fashions have changed. Yet some people object to having photographs taken now. It is a real shame because they are stopping future generations from being able to look back at us and to com pare our times with whatever the future will bring. I live in London and take lots of photos in my city, a city that is constantly changing. I love your work so just keep doing what you do so well.
Thank you so much for your kindness snd support! Can’t repeat it enough how much I appreciate it! :) London is one of my favourite cities in the word. I think I’ve been there five times, twice with my girlfriend back then (now wife) and once I stayed for about 1,5 months for education. Unfortunately back then I wasn’t interested in photography yet. The day will come when the kids are ready to travel and then I’ll definitely pay London a visit again. Thank you again!
Nice video! I have the Voigtländer 40mm 1.2 and 75mm 1.5 Z version. They are brilliant, superb picture and build quality and no need for adapters! But manual focusing needs some practice for street! I found myself switching to the 26mm 2.8mm sometimes for convenience! But indoors, the Voigtländers are brilliant!
Thank you very much and great lens combo! I have seen images taken with the Voigtländer 40 1.2 and the Zf and it looks like a dream combo! And the 40mm 1.2 would be my first choice. Thank you very much for your time watching!
I love my 50 lux! The Techart autofocus adapter is cool, but I prefer manual focus over everything else. Glad you're out shooting, I haven't gone out in a couple of weeks.
Thanks a lot for checking Jack :) Hope you and your family are doing well! Lately I took any opportunity to shoot as good as possible, but time is lagging on my and to record more YT videos 😅 You on the other hand are killing it with your consistency and high quality 👍
Another technique you can try is standing still while setting the lens to a fixed distance (2-3m) and wait for people to move into that, and just before that use burst mode (with electronic shutter so you don't make any noise). You will have enough keepers and eventually you may not even need to look into the LCD/EVF, which will make it much more discreet.
Yes, I saw Benj Haisch video and he replied to my question that he doesn’t have any issues regarding infinity focus. Might check it out. Thank you for your time watching!
As a fellow introvert, most of my pictures I take of random people are from the back too. I had a Nikon Zf for a short while and used a manual AstrHori 50mm lens. It was fun and also prepared me for the move to an M body Leica.
Hey! I am also partially introvert but through the years I developed courage to just shot and worry later : D So it's a matter of practice and I appreciate you being open and vulnerable about it. There is channel on YT which is absolutely brilliant all terms street photography, it's called #walklikealice, it's run by Sarah and Jeff Ascough. It helped me hugely to gain my confidence! Edit: last their video about shooting 50mm on a streets : )
Thank you very much for sharing! That gives me hope I’ll get more confident some day, if I keep practicing :) I do know and watch that channel. I do my best to apply the tips, but still suck therefore I need more practice 😀 Thank you for your time watching!
Do you want to hear something funny? The same thing happened to me with a construction worker. Maybe people in that line of work have a lot to hide hmmmmm. Beautiful shots Phil. I'm a Sony guy so I'm all about the autofocus. The only manual lenses I have are my anamorphics and I bought a Helios lens but I don't use them much since I'm a peasant vlogger. Bottom feeders we are.
Haha that's really funny - perhaps we should ask them what it is about :D You are sure a vlogger by heart and therefore manual focus lenses are only interesting for behind the camera shots. But for photography I slowly really enjoy the manual focus process - although it means I will much more out of focus images. And that lesson is painful, specially on film, since you pay for that mistake literally :D. Thank you for your support as always Noi! :)
@@IntrovertAmateur You bring up a painful memory. I went through three rolls of film in highschool and found out the camera was broken and couldn't focus. :( We are spoiled with digital cameras, and I agree. Manual focus does make us focus more. Makes us better.
No mention about how you put an M lens onto the Z mount, the adapter you used and the experience of using the Z with an adapter. Overall you're just repeating stuff found in other videos about the M lens.

That’s a great tip, I will definitely try that! Thank you for sharing and your time watching!
I think you should try the Techart TZM-02 autofocus adapter. It works well with any Leica M mount lens on your Nikon Z f.

Appreciate your time! I curious what kind of shots you will get with your beautiful M10 :)
