Great idea for all cutting tools I think the ruler can still come in handy for marking and cutting short lengths to. I’ve been following you for around two years and I still use a lot of the jigs you showed how to make and there still going strong so thanks
lol, if you have been a woodworker for 15+ years and can't work this easy to understand video out, then I would suggest you might want to find another way to occupy your time as it seems woodworking isn't really your thing.
Bit hard to follow what's going on tbh needs more explanation before hand and then during demo/build a bit more explanation to explain what's what. Was a bit lost for the most part and the end parts didn't look that secure as one end moved when tightened at start of the video.. Ps. The ruler just because it's metal as didn't REALLY seem to come into play other than being a smooth straight edge that the magnets can stick to for the removable lengths and smooth to run along the tools along? Sorry just as a DIYer I like coming up with DIY solutions also and usually pretty well screwed on working things out but this left me wondering how useful this will be? 👍🏴
the movement you see is simply caused by the strength of the magnets. It is of zero importance as that piece is only setting the distance of the cutting edge movement up and down is irrelevant, if it concerns you use bigger magnets if you choose to build this like any other diy guy might. Also no talking or explanations are required as simply watching the video tells you everything you need to know. It is obvious that the ruler would be used to do mid board dadoes and grooves to set lengths.
All good and very ingenious... watched your other videos too..... with all the views you are getting I am wondering when are you finally going to break down and buy or sharpen your cutting tools..... your cuts are horendous. Buy some cutters and blades or sharpen them.... your work will look much better trust me....
Thank you very much, i use poor plywood That is why the result looks odd and my jigsaw blade blunt. Now I bought a new jigsaw blade and a new router blade. 1 again thank you very much for supporting my channel
Your edge guide is simple, effective, and to the point.
Nicely done!
Glad it was helpful! thank you very much
